IISCon/ Kyrion 's CISP: The Real Story
On this summer of 2011, Kyrion Digital Securities started a summer training program to certify students with CISP, which they claimed it to be a well-known International Certification program, which a company IISCon based in USA has been awarding from over a decade and in 20 countries.
So, an ethical hacking training plus International Certification? wow, it can't get any better than this, right? thats what everyone felt like, including me, and since Kyrion has a reputation, it was easy to fall for it.
The reality is, CISP is a certification started by Kyrion, to compete with CISSP and CEH; although it stands nowhere close to that. But for a business plan, thats a good idea. Now let me tell you how the execution begun.
First, with an awesome fraud plan, Kyrion used its links in the IIT, the owner's father is an IIT alumni, so he asked his friend in the US to register a company named IISCon on papers, IISCon has no physical existence, when searched for there was a 4-bedroom flat registered in the name of Mr. Vinze(Mr. Vinze is a product of IIT-Mumbai). With this the International stuff was done. Now, coming to promotion, Kyrion created a website www.iiscon.org and wrote a really good story describing IISCon, well all of it can be found on http://www.eccouncil.org/about_us.aspx, after all it was inspired from that site.
All the names of President, financial director and technical head were chosen randomly. No pictures of concerned people were published and those people had nothing to do with IISCon or CISP, how can they be related, after all it was all a made up story of Kyrion to make this fraud a success. President chosen is a Law Professor is Arizona College, financial head was an artist who died some years ago and technical head has a dental clinic or something; I think they should remove the names from there.
Kyrion failed to establish any contact with IISCon, and they were very scared since they saw all their master plan was not fool-proof enough.
This IISCon CISP fraud was conducted in 3 cities of New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad; and it was a huge success, no one raised any questions on it, no talented ethical hacker fingerprinted their own organization. It was only in Delhi that a wave of doubts and suspicion was raised and on further enquiry and investigation with some help from Lawyers and Police o[censored]SA, all these conclusions were made.
Despite knowing the truth behind this fraud, students decided to take whatever money they could get from Kyrion and to keep quite and go back home, since they were all very helpless and had a career to take care of, so no one dared to take any legal action whatsoever. One Guy did, but this is no place to praise him.
Indian Press, Media and Police were informed about it, but they all demanded for more investigation from our level rather than starting their own investigation; mostly heard line was 'Its happening all over the country, so chuck it and go home, You must be missing your college classes, kid'.
Other students from Mumbai and Hyderabad don't even know yet about this fraud. So i can say that this fraud was a success, and can be launched in other cities sooner or later.
A worthless certificate hence came into being, in the name of CISP and soon IISCon will get US certification allowing it to conduct this business, that wont be a big problem since 100's of professionals are certified by a company that claims to be based in the US.
Those who had less or very less or absolutely no knowledge about hacking were very happy to be CISP certified, others who knew something or some who knew more than some of the trainers there in Kyrion knew that
THE SYLLABUS OF CISP HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT WAS TAUGHT THERE, and that it was a complete waste of TIME, MONEY & LABOR THERE.
Those students decided not to appear for the CISP exam, nor did they took any extra money offered or even that Rs.4000 as a refund.
They decided to be Non-Certified InfoSec Pros.
Kyrion admitted to the Media in the end that it was all a marketing stunt and companies do that to carry on their business and Media bought it.
So, it was all legal so far, the fraud was called a mere 'marketing stunt'. Watch out for such certifications near you.
It took a lot to investigate and come to this conclusion, needless to mention all the stress, threats and struggle one had to go through.. but all in vain, the company exists and is still doing business all over India.

They try to hack in my system everyday.I have some proof but I'm still a student. So I am helpless.I attaching the Image.Google them and you will find my review.

I recently completed datascience workshop which is held in IIT hyderabad organised by kyrion technologies, it doesnt worth the time or money. Many students are attracted to the Certification which is used for nothing, .
KYRION technologies is using the mask of IIT and doing all the operations behind it.
in my personal experience the faculty was good but they shouldn't be using the name of reputed government institutes and do workshops as per their wish.

Think and research about the workshops which are being popped up on your device and then proceed to join.

thank you
