Due to defective metre from last eight months. Avg elctric bill is coming which is very high as compared to the same period of electric consumption. My numerous visit to office & written complaint but still no resolution.
Adjustment of higher bill & replacement of defective is solicited.

Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board — Wrong Metre reading
I posted a complaint on this site on[protected] reading as under. Till date the MP State Electricity board has not taken any action. The copy of the complaint is as underWrong Metre reading

The bill No. 1724 dated[protected] for the month of Aug., 2010 was very much on the higher side. Theconsumption o[censored]nit for the last 3 months viz. May, June and July stand at 191, 707 and 594 respectively. This month Metre units were shown in the bill as 1157. So I checked the metre today[protected] immediatle on receipt of the bill. It shows a reading less than the reading shown in the bill which cannot be so. So I concluded that the reading has been taken wrongly or has been fed into the comuter wrongly. I request the concerned authorities to check up and reissue a correct bill.

Now for the month of September 2010 I have again received the Electricity Bill again showing a wrong metre reading. In fact when the metre reading was taken by the employee of the Electricty office, I pointed out the mistake done by him in Aug. 2010. He assured that this month viz. in Sep. it will be corrected. But from the bill I find it has not been done. The beauty is that the actual metre reading is far less than that shown in the bill.
Will the authorities concerned taken some immediate action.
