[Resolved]  Passport section,office of the Commissioner of Police, Infantry road, Bangalore — Delay in Police verification

I,Savitha Premkumar, have visited the Commissioner office, Infantry Road, Bangalore,twice, on 28th June 2011 at 4:30pm and 29th June 2011 at 11am with regard to enquiry about police verification status of my passport , file number:BN[protected], which was acknowledged on date 20th May,2011 at 2:28 pm at the Passport Seva Kendra, Lalbagh,Bangalore-27, and police verification pending.
On visit to the local police station(Yelahanka New Town) on 28th June, they claimed to have not yet received the passport details to be verified from the Commissioner's office ,and suggested that i visit the Commissioner's office directly.
On going to the Commissioner's office, the staff response at passport section was that the server is down since two days. But the very same website is accessible from anywhere outside!
The staff do not even care to refresh the web page , and maintain the excuse that the server is down.
Kindly look into the matter , as this is causing a lot of inconvenience to many people, due to delay in issue of passport and the unecessary travel to the Commissioner's office ,whose duty is to send the passport details to the respective local police stations at the earliest for verification.

Hi ... my parents put the passport application on 7th(mother) & 14th(father) of june 2011, mothers passport application came to local police station and verification is completed but fathers passport application still didnt come. As we have shown that we have stayed in bangalore since oct 2010(not one year) so police verification for both application went to native police station for verification. so police verification takes place @ two places one in native and one in bangalore. so am confused as do we need to attend native police verification or not need, we stay in bangalore and given in application present/permanent address as bangalore address. please help us.

I applied for passport-reissue on 12/12/2011 after online appl on 09/12/2011. The file number is as follows:-

a) LEELA SUBBARAO : BN[protected]

Police verification was done at my residence on 10/01/2012 by an Officer from Banaswadi Police Station..It appears that the reports have since been dispatched to your good office by Banaswadi Police Station.

I humbly request your good office to arrange dispatch of the reports to Passport office : PSK, Bangalore, Sai Arcade, Marathahalli, Bangalore-560037, at your earliest convenience as I have to get my US visa organised.

I am sure you will kindly consider the request at your earliest convenience.
