[Resolved]  PEOPLES CO-OP. CREDIT SOCIETY LTD. — HARASSMENT FOR LOAN TAKEN

My self is Satish More, residing at Thane. I had applied personal loan of Rs.2 lacs to Peoples Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. in July 2009 and then as per their procedure, I had paid Rs.25,000 as a share capital for personal loan. After completing all the documentation and procedure, when we have visited to their Govandi office for cheque of loan, then they have started giving different kinds of reaons like funds not available, aduit is going on, concerned person is not available etc. Me and my father (aged 60 years) have visited almost 8 times to their office for the purpose of only taking a cheque of loan and every time they have given new dates for collection of the same. Also, we have paid Rs.10,000 towards stamp duty as per their request. Now, on February 2, when we visited for the purpose of collecting the loan cheque, they have treated us very badly. At the same time, we have decided to withdraw the loan application and we have submitted the refund application.
On 17th February 2010, we have received two cheques. One for share capital refund Rs.22,500 after deducting 10% as a commission and Rs.8,000 towards stamp duty refund after deducting Rs.2,000.
10% deduction from share capital is acceptable. But Rs.2,000 from stamp duty is horriable. Because they have already informed that if loan is rejected or withdrawn, then full amount is refunded.
My father is 60 year old. They suffered lots from this. We have found many peoples suffering almost same problem from this society.
