[Resolved] Plat 5 consultancy — Credit Card fraud | |||
Hi, This is Sandesh Bhalerao from Maharashtra, Pune. I got a call from Plat5 Consultancy from Delhi ([protected]). As I was having an HDFC credit card, I got a call from Plat5 consultancy. They also had my address details with them. The details of the fraud are as below . 1.They contacted me stating that as a privileged HDFC credit card customer they will issue me another shopping card which will give me 25% discount on all purchases as well as free gifts with holiday packages. The phone call is recorded and everything is true. 2. They said that nothing will be charged and the card will be issued in 10-15 days. For this reason I agreed. 3. Now for verification purpose, they asked only for the credit card expiry date which I provided. 4. Further, they told me for online verification purpose, I need to get the OTP (one time password) from the bank which I did. 5. Then they transferred my call to IVR and I entered the 16 digit card number, expiry date, CVV number and OTP. During this verification, that person was online. 6. The verification was successful and they provided a booking # 59061. But then immediately I received an sms on my mobile "Thank you for using your HDFC card ending withXXXX for 4964.00 in New Delhi at IVRPlat5 Consultancy P on[protected]: 12:27:10. 7.It was then I realized that this is fraud. 8. I too received a call from plat5 team which had contacted me several times earlier but I did not have any plans for vacations; hence, did not respond to them. About 4 months back, again received call from one of the executives. This time, I heard to the offer which sounded quite interesting to me. A holiday stay for 2 nights is what they informed me along with my wife & 2 kids. I initially had some problem with the bookings since the days I sent the voucher for fulfillment & the date as asked by me only had about 28 days in between. However, called up the helpline number of Privilege circle who assisted me getting bookings at Mussorie, Avalon Resort. The resort is one of the finest places I have been to...

I received call regarding this offer. I heard the offer and found it interesting because of its validity clause of few months .I thought I would be able to use it in future time. But unfortunately, after 2 months I lost my job and I contacted their helpline number to cancel my offer… They rather suggested me to transfer it to my add on card holder. They tried to convince me a lot and then I told them I will re-think over it and would inform them…. I discussed with my family and as my younger brother is my add on card holder I told him to utilize this offer on my behalf to which he agreed…. He indeed had praises for the holiday stay at Ooty
