[Resolved]  Plat5 Consultancy Private Limited — Phishing

On 26/08/2011 i received a call from a number[protected] IVRPLAT5 CONSUL ), and they told that, Having tie up with icici bank they are giving me a free money back offer for each purchase using my credit card, for that i have to register it through mobile after generating OTP by sending sms IOTP <LAST 4 DIGIT OF CARD> to 5676766. And so many times I asked them for any hidden charges or processing fees will charged for this offer, each time they assured me that “ITS COMPLETELY FREE OFFER NO PROCESSING FEE OR ANY CHARGES WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT, AND ONLY FOR REPUTED CUSTOMERS WITH GOOD HISTORY OF TRANSACTIONS WERE GIVEN THIS OFFER” I accepted their offer after their assurance and I followed their instructions . Then I received a sms from icici that A transaction of INR 4964 is made at IVRPLAT5 Consul. Immediately I called icici customer care and enquired about the transaction and about the offer, but they told there is no such tie up , So under their guidance I blocked the card.
Later on 28.08.11 I received the call from the same concern and I informed about the amount deducted, they told its processing fee and they will not refund the amount or cancel the offer.

Hi! I am Dilip Shinde. My mobile no. [protected]. I am also a victim of the same fraud by IVRplat5.
On 23.08.2011, I had informed IVRPlat5 by email at "[protected]@plat5.com" as follows, which is self explanatory (Text pasted )..."On 20.08.2011 I had been contacted by your Mr. Balaram and told that I have been selected among 160 credit card holders for a new promotion launched by your agency. Next day on 21.08.2011 again I had been contacted by your Ms. Archana and convince about the discounts on various products and restaurants using my credit card and there would not be any kind of annual charges or service charges, absoulutely free of cost service and transferred the call to otgher juntelman. He told me that this information has to be conveyed to my CITI Bank card through a system, for that I have to press the 16 digits card no., expiry date and cvv no. accordingly I had followed his instruction and the next moment I found that I recd a SMS from CITIBank saying "Rs. 4964.00 was spent on your credit card xxxxxxxx on 21 Aug-11 at IVRplaT5 Consultancy. Since, it was promised me that there was no annual charges or service charges are levied then how come this transaction has taken place.

This is merely a fraudulent transaction against my will. I disagree with such kind of transaction. Hence, you are requasted to reverse the transaction back to my CITI Bank credit card with immediate effect. Otherwise I will be compelled to take the legal action against you agency for such kind of fraudulent transaction. I expect no clarification from you but immediate action."

In response of my mail, next day a lady called me from IVR saying that "there might be chances of some communication error by our staff. They might have slipped to conveying about the charges. Now, the refund is not possible. However, once the product will be delivered to you, you can refuse it, then only the refund is possible." Since, I was out of station, my family had received the parcel sent by IVRplat5 thru courier 3 weeks (approx) after the incidence. On 14 Sept'11, again I have informed IVRplat5 thru email about the refund, but so far, I have not received any response from them.

If any action has to be taken against IVRplat5, I will also join with other victims.

I was robbed the same way as Mr.Dalip Shinde and Mr. A P RajaGuru I informed my Bank Immediately to stop the payment of Rs.4964. Thanks to My Bank, The Bank stop the realization of Amt and reverse the same to my Credit Card

Friend, I have also taken that kind offer from Plat5. I was being told clearly about the amount to be deducted and received the card on time I am really surprised to see such complaints regarding this offer. I received their WP & got the Free gifts. I really enjoyed!!!.
