Dear Sir,
I anish kapur working as branch manager in chandigarh invested 60 lacs in purchasing and constructing house in adarsh nagar, nayagaon near chandigarh. i started construction in march 2010 and have completed construction last month. Last year may 2010 i applied for electricity connection and deposited fee of Rs 6090/- vide reciept no 311. Along with electriciy connection i also applied for water connection and same was provided within 1 week.
I purchased this plot from Mr. Bhatia one of the property dealer holding large part of that land and actively involved in buying and selling the property. I was assured by Mr. bhatia that he owns all responsbility to provide water and electricity connection. Many houses who constructed before 2010 and applied for connection then are having connections and surprisingly very next plot in which one 4X4 room is having connection but not us. These connections were given since demands of electricity boards people were less and were fulfilled by people.
I assume since he was melting lot of money, to further earn more money he painted few boards mentioning it as vikas enclave but didnt invested on roads , sewarage and street lighting etc. As electricity board XEN Mr. Boparai visited the site and argued with Mr. bhatia to pass him some share of his earning to him or otherwise he will declare it as illegal enclave which Mr. bhatia refused and had collar to collar fight with each other(Information gathered from localites).
Since then electricity board started refusing connection to people living or constructing house in that area. After realising mistake,Mr. bhatia removed all his boards of vikas enclave and as this area also came under NAC, ward no was boldly mentioned on all side of plots.
As Mr. Boparai has not been feed with money or may be senior above him, he is not bothered, how people of this area will live without electricity.
Even after lot of follow up with electriciy board and there continous refusal of electricity, matter went to court. Its been 1 year that we are struggling for one temporary electricity connection but even after matter escallated to local president NAC , NAYAGOAN and also to chief minister punjab, no support has been handed over to poor and needed people like us.
i want to understand in this world of technology , space, internet and india being fastest growing economy, can we be deprived of this basis requirement of electricity connection.
i submit this complaint on behalf of 50-60 families who are staying there without electricity and other basis amenities, but their is no one to listen us.
i will keep writting and blogging till i dont get the justice.
