[Resolved]  Regional Passport Office, Pune — Passport Not Received in Tatkal Quota

My wife had applied for the Passport in Tatkaal Quota. She was to travel with me after 2 months. I had enough time to get the passport issued in normal quota but still I asked her to apply the passport in Tatkaal Quota as it was quite natural to take some amount of time is processing it.

The biggest problem in applying the passport in Tatkaal quota is to get the Verification letter from some IAS officer or person having equivalent designation.
Anyhow she was able to get the verification letter but here struggle has not ended yet.

We kept checking the status of the passport application online. After 15 days status was updated and it was:
“Please meet the Assistant Passport Officer/Superintendent, on any working day, between 10 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. with two photographs, proof of your current residential address and date of birth, in original, along with photocopies thereof for verification. “
I am quite sure that I have all the required documents and now when you go to the passport office with mentioned documents, again you will have to stand in an Inquiry Queue to get the status of your application. After 1-3 hours standing in a Queue, that person will tell you the same status of your application and then will give you a token to get the documents verified. I really don’t understand why we have to stand 3 hours in a queue to get the same status that we can get online? Why can’t we get the token to get the documents verified?
Even after standing in a Queue to get the document verification, we got the answer, “Documents are not completed. Some documents missing.” And when you ask them which documents are missing, they will not say you anything clearly. They will just say, “Documents are not completed. Just get all the documents and then come here.” I really though have they gone mad? How can a person bring the completed documents until he doesn’t know which document to bring? We have gone through the required documents 5 times, also made sure if anything is not missing with 3 different people and also with one of the agent who is expert in this field since 4 years.
Sometimes they behave very weird and just keep on saying, “Get all the documents…Bhow…Get all the documents… Bhow..”. They don’t understand the value of time. How can a person spend 4-5 days just to get the passport? Again there is not senior person there with whom we can talk to. This is really shameful. When you go to the passport office, it seems like your entire life will pass standing in a Queue.
Even I am not sure, who really reads and tries to improve the system. Are these complains in this website really entertained by any passport official?
I can see many people complaining about the same thing again and again. But only the person who suffers with this situation comes to this site and reads these mails.
These complains should reach to passport officials as a morning news paper to the passport office. Then only they will understand how bad their services are.
