Hi,
I too have got the offer last week. Apparently, this seems to be fake because, i have never attended any interview with RBS. No company recruit a person for the kind of salary they have offered without interviewing anyone and just by looking at the resume.
Regards
Karthigeyan

Hi,
The information below is from the websit of RBS with clearly statesa s the emails send is fraud and RBS is not ever concern in the racket .
STAY AWAY ...
Careers
Recruitment Fraud
It has come to our attention that various individuals and organisations are contacting people offering false employment opportunities within The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. We take fraud seriously and, by raising awareness of this, we hope to avoid and ultimately stop victims falling for this scam.
RBS will never send emails asking for personal information, ask for payment of any kind or make offers of employment without the recipient being involved in a structured recruitment process.
How to identify Recruitment Fraud
The senders will often ask recipients to send them personal details. This may include application forms, visa forms or identity documents.
Emails will often include the RBS name and logo without authority (usually the logo is of a poor quality). The name of a genuine recruitment/agency website may be used to make the scam appear more credible.
Candidates are often requested to contact other companies or professionals, such as lawyers, barristers, immigration officials or travel agencies.
Emails often originate from free web-based email accounts such as Yahoo.com, Yahoo.co.uk, Gmail.com, Googlemail.com and Hotmail.com.
Job offers will often be very generous with favourable terms and conditions such as a personal driver, paid accommodation and high salary.
Be especially cautious if these emails contain attachments or the following telephone numbers as these are often charged at premium rates :
UK: +44-70xx
Netherlands: +31-6xx
Spain: +34-6xx
South Africa: +27-7x or +27-8x
Nigeria: +234-80x
Do not enter into any correspondence with these individuals, give them your personal details or send payment of any kind.
Contact the Police if you believe you have been the victim of recruitment fraud. Further information is available at www.antiphishing.org.

Hi there,
My dad was looking for a change and he advertise his resume on a Indian Recruitment site (naukri.com). He received an email confirming RBS interest in his credentials followed by an offer letter ( similar to the one posted by Rahat).
Glad my dad bring this into my attention and I found this site.
I believe its a big fraud as the offer is too good to be true. Please note that no company irrespective of where they are located, would never ever send an offer letter without interviewing.
There are a number of scams active around the world, these scammers are just not interested in money but also various other sorts of information including your address, banking details, date of birth or other personal information. The motive is either to steal your identity or to follow your online behavior or something else.
Please please and please do not trust these emails and never ever hit REPLY button to them, just spam them.
