[Resolved]  Sai Builders/Independent house at Sai Ayush Ramesha, Medavakkam, Chennai — Defect in Construction by Builder

I purchased a independent house from Sai Builders, Chennai in April, 2007. Got possession of the house in May 29, 2007. I had rented out the house till December 2008 as I was in US that time. On returning back to India took self possession of the house from December 2008. The next year during monsoon time in chennai I observed that water was seeping in at several places in the buiding. I had informed and requested the builder in writing in October 2009 about the defect and attend to it at the earliest. The builder keeps delaying and has not attended to the problem so far. I would like to take this case with consumer court in chennai.

Please do let me know the procedure for this.

Yes, I totally I agree with this ... We didn't get the value for the money we paid .. Alomost all houses are having the same problem ... though we raised this with the builder many times he never responded .. Very very poor customer satisfaction ... In fact, you will never get a chance to meet the builder (Mani Sankar) after you paid the full amount ... Because they themselves know that all their customers will come back only with complaints ...We have alomost spent around 2 lakhs since 2007 to stop the leakage... but no joy ... I would strongly emphasize 'Please Please dont go for Sai Builders'

I too facing the same problem like you with the same builder. I have purchased a apartment from Sai Builders in Coimbatore. Due to poor construction, it started leaking in my flat. They are purposely delaying the fix. Planning to go for filing the consumer case agains them. How was your experience with consumer court? I would like to hear from you regarding your resolution on this case.
