I am Vijay, I too got the similar mail claiming for (£250, 000, 00GBP) day before yesterday (03JAN2011)
I had a doubt since beginning that how can unknown people from UK (not being a relative/friend o[censored]s) can give us such a huge amount and I was not that greedy to receive such huge and un-earned money. So I wanted to catch hold these scam guys red-handed. So i acted as if i agreed and i sent my residence details (To check the next move of the scam guys) .They sent me a similar verification code
as below
Ticket number (2PYUK2010)
Ballot number (UK: 51322010/110
The Coca Cola Company Plc Official End of Year Prize Award Winner Notification.
Also I tried the number mentioned as the contact info Mr Robert Muller
They replied me back in another mail saying “YOUR WINNING FUND HAS BEEN DISPATCHED”
This is to inform you that the Management of COCA COLA COMPANY UK has received your mail and after due consultations and verification, we have found out that you are the true winner of the Coca cola International Award of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Great British Pounds (£250,000.00) which have been deposited here in our temporary account.
This mail is to bring to your notice that our Diplomatic Agent will be leaving the UK with your winning prize (DRAFT), FUND RELEASE ORDER from the British Government, original copy of your winning certificate and letter of authorization which you need to sign personally before our agent leaves your country.
The name of our Diplomat is MR. LARRY SMITH; he will leave UNITED KINGDOM on Tonight and arrive your country early hours of Wednesday being 5th, January. 2011 .You are advised to be at home and wait for the diplomat.
In the mail they had mentioned that
NOTE: YOU ARE TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR MOBILE NUMBER IS AVAILABLE SO THAT HE WILL BE ABLE TO CONTACT YOU WHEN HE ARRIVE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLEARANCE AND REGISTRATION OF YOUR DRAFT AT THE AIRPORT IN YOUR COUNTRY, AND PLEASE DISREGARD ANY MAIL THAT IS NOT FROM US TO AVOID CONFISCATION OF YOUR PRIZE.

That particular sentence pricked me
1) How can a stranger enter my country
2) If a guy is paying such a huge money cant he make the airport clearance
I replied them back that I need to go to my office. So kindly let me know at what time ur diplomat is arriving
So they again replied with a mail with some spelling mistake in the mail (which gave me a clue that this could be a scam since Beginning) having subject “URGENT [protected]@COCACOLA COMPANY UK”
This time they mentioned there address as below
“T.M. Eagle Treasure United Kingdom, No.23 Bedford row, High Holborn, Wcr1R4eb, England
TEL: [protected]
E-mail: [protected]@consultant.com”
ATTENTION: Vijayasaravanan
The diplomat will be your country by 9am Indian time so kindly wait his arrival .note you will be responsible for the airport clearance charges in your country, he will let the amount to be paid when he arrive. Congratulations one more time as you will be enjoying your good fortune in no distance time
