[Resolved]  Schindler India — Sub standard passenger elevator & shoddy customer service

Sales Contract No. 10BA20215

Our Society, Samrat Ashok Bldg. No. 1 based at Malabar Hill has been at the receiving end of Schindler India for the last one year.

Our Society, Samrat Ashok Building No. 1 entered into a contract with Schindler India in last quarter of 2010 for installation of 2 passenger elevators replacing our old elevators.

It has taken a year for commissioning of the new elevator replacing one of our old elevators and the end of it we are largely unsatisfied with the quality of the product and worse with the customer service received from Schindler India.

The entire Schindler India team has been very casual in their attitude which is evident from the fact that Mr. Rohit Poddar who is our one point of contact has not visited the site at tall to take stock of the situation.

We even got access to Schindler India CEO, Mr. Uday Kulkarni to whom we have repeatedly written and requested him to visit our site and meet us which has not materialised at all.

We would like the following issues to be sorted out: -

1. Our new elevator is not working satisfactorily but Schinder India is refusing to acknowledge the same so that needs to be sorted
2. Also Schindler India is flatly refusing to part with the PWD License asking us for the balance 10% payment payment which we cannot release till satisfied with the functioning of the elevator
3. Make Schindler International aware of the on goings at Schindler India so that the house is put in order and more customers like us do not suffer

I would like to warn to all the readers of this site to not get carried out with Schindler India brand name and look at other alternatives if possible.

In case you still decide to give business to Schindler India, make sure you get done to all the specifics such as Operating Panel in Lift, indicators outside each floor etc. because they short changed us by offering us poor quality indicator & lousy panel.

And for sure, have a penalty clause for delay in implementation of lift.

I am also facing such a problem. In my case Schindler India Chennai office took 70% advance 9 months ago, and promised delivery within 2 months, but 9 months passed, I have not received not even a pin so far. Schindler is bad with dealing people, and I suggest do not go with Schindler at all
We in Jodhpur are also using their lifts in Arihant Adita multi story flats. Since last more than six months their team is installing lifts. Still their job is not completed.
Their is not a single day when lift has worked satisfactory.
Above all their team members are so poor in their behavior that we feel like giving complaint to police. .

How a world company can afford to be like his.
As a person occupying flat feel like asking for penalty from management

We have been installing lifts of schindler in residential projects in new delhi since 2009. We have dealt with many of sales manager of the company from time to time. But unfortunately in 2014 when Mr. Vikshit got transferred from south delhi and we met Mr. Gaurav badola ([protected]). In our recent project : B-7/8 extension Safdarjung enclave new delhi -110029, SAP Order NO : 10917337, Mr Gaurav badola gave us offer on 22. 01. 2016 of a 6 passenger lift after checking the lift shaft (ready at that point ) at the site. We did the payment and signed the contract . Then our next payment as per contract was made on for the material. And Mr Gaurav badola informed us that material has been ordered. After that we received a call from him on 05. 03. 2016 stating that the 6 passenger lift cannot be installed with the shaft size we have on site. We after a discussion for some days and accepting apology of Mr Gaurav badola agreed to get install a 5 passenger lift ( 15. 03. 2016 ).After calling regularly on a continuous note Mr Gaurav badola then again informed us that our material has been ordered and it will reach on site by maximum 24. 04. 2016 . We have call recording of Mr Gaurav badola committing for the material by 24. 04. 2016 .

But it is very sad that yesterday (25. 04. 2016) from office staff we have come to know that our material has been ordered itself on 18. 04. 2016 and it will reach by 18. 05. 2016 . Mr Gaurav badola is not responding to our calls and messages since 22. 04. 2016 . We are suppose to hand over our project by 15. 05. 2016 to our clients

Its very sad that a person like mr Gaurav badola is working in a reputated company like schindler india pvt ltd and fooling, make false commitments to the regular clients of the company. Please i request the company to look into the matter and solve our problem so that we dont suffer losses .

Schindler should try to keep up its reputation and improve its service, partly rectification of defects.
After all, lifts form part of essential services.

A non functional lift causes a lot of avoidable problems and mental stress to old people, handicapped persons, pregnant women, etc.

I hope someone in Schindler is reading this.
Schindler escalator order experience: PATHETIC- Do not order from them!!

Extremely inefficient and incompetent sales / business development staff.
Taking orders and 100% payment and then just forgetting about anything like delivery/ installation etc etc.
Senior management is clueless about the order even having been taken. 10 days after the escalator was to have been installed we called up to check the status of delivery (yes it hadn't even been delivered).
The person who had taken the order: " oh was it to have been installed on 24th of last month? I'm sorry, let me check... I thought it was next month.. " .. Thereafter reverting back with "oh no it will take another month .." The sales guy was just interested in taking the order and payment- he/ his superiors, didn't even read the contract/ had forgotten delivery dates..

And now we are running from pillar to post while they just say "OOPS/ SORRY!"

If there was an option of negative rating I would have selected -5.

We will be taking them to court over this but the loss of reputation still ends up being ours as they don't care ..

I am one of the residents at Nilanber Bellissimmo, which is a well known and sought after Apartment complex in Baroda, Gujarat. I have been residing in this complex for mare than 2 years and Schindler Elevator was one of the USP but I have to mention it with great regret that the quality is a big compromise and service even worse. After paying an exorbitant amount for Elevator and equally exorbitant for services, what you get is worse than a local vendor. Unfortunately I do not access to the contract copy to share but the elevator has left a sour taste. In case of a power failure the Elevator stops operation, while it was said it would operate and stop at the nearest floor and doors would open, never seen that in past more than 2 years on spite of complaints. the list is long...I would earnestly request all wanting to buy an Elevator to buy any LOCAL brand but not Schindler. We are having 16 Elevators in our complex still such sub standard services or rather lack of services, so one can imagine what to expect from someone who would own only 1 Elevator. The kind of money we pay for the AMC, we might get good quality local brand Elevator.
