I have sent a speed post on 10/05/2012 @ 12:30 pm noon from Chennai (metro city) to Mumbai (metro city) which as per the Indian postal services should be delivered within 48 hours time , but sadly it is 21/05/2012 (12 days) and it has still not been delivered. Below are the details :

SPEED POST NUMBER : ET[protected]IN

On the website it says that '14/05/2012 17:40:00 SAKINAKA S.O Delivery Attempted: Addressee Absent - Intimation Served' while as an "Intimation" a paper note was left saying to collect the item from Saki Naka SO which is extremely far for the consignee to go and take. Also NO CONTACTNUMBER has been mentioned on the note to contact back the delivery person.

At least there should've been an intimation by call (consignee number mentioned on the parcel) to inform the delivery and even if the person was not present , a second attempt should've been made. Otherwise , what difference it is in a normal post and a speed post? Kindly respond.

Thu .. Yukk service... Really horrible service.. You can complaint the postal department.. they will respond your query quickly ... even i also get the same hassle from them because last time i was complained against post man regarding an issue thats why he is intended to do like this.. The central post service is really horrible .. they can do any thing on the customers because it is not the customer centric service.. They really horrible .. they will revenge on us if you complain against them ... It is really better if you could not reveal your details while complaining ...
