[Resolved]  Suri Travels, Rohini, New Delhi — Complaint of a taxi services provider in Rohini, New Delhi

This mail is regarding complaint of a taxi services provider listed with Just dial. On 28/09/09, i called up just dial search engine number i.e.[protected] from pune and enquired about taxi services listed with just dial. I recieved 2-3 numbers from just dial with "SURI Travels" as a taxi services operating from Rohini, DELHI, Ph Number - [protected]. I wanted to book a taxi from Delhi to Mata chintapurni from DELHI to Himachal Pradesh(Chintapurni) for which distance from Delhi to destination is nearly 425 KMS(one side). I called up Suri travels and someone MR. HARISH from travels took my call and booking. This person - "Harish" talked to me very professionally and was speaking English. He has asked me to give more rates for travel which i agreed over the phone. We had conversation for 4 days on phone and he confirmed my booking for INNOVA taxi for my family travel from DELHi to HP. He confirmed me the booking by SMS for INNOVA DL 4C AE 6451. I have pics of sme taxi too with me. I had told him that i am spending almost 50 K on air tickets for bringing my family from Pune to Delhi and Delhi to Pune so i wanted no deliquency about my booking and travel. He agreed upon that since the travel includes almost 1000 KM by road, he would be ensuring that taxi provided would be serviced at service station and would be having no fault as well as taxi driver would be decent enough to take me and family to Mata chintapurni since i was travelling with my sister, wife , son and father. He ensured me that driver would be a very experienced one.

Now play started when i landed at DELHI airport from Kingfisher airlines on 2/10/09 in the morning, Taxi was not there. When i called up Mr. Harish. Somebodyelse...Mr Rajesh picked up the phone. I asked for Mr harish but he started gving me vague answers that he is out of station, he no longer works with thier taxi services etc etc. Now After 30 minutes, taxi arrived at airport with driver who was just 23 years of age. Now we started for Himachal pradesh from Airport itself because time for journey was less. We planned to reach Mata chintapurnin on 2, OCT, Darshan on 3rd, OCT and return from same taxi on 4th, Oct. In evening we had return flight booked from DELHI Airport to Pune.

While starting from DELHI, i asked driver whether he had steppinie(extra tyre), in case taxi gets some tyre problem in the way. To my surprise, we had to travel 1000 KM and taxi was not having even a steppinie. I paid for the steppinie and we started our way towards HP. Now after crossing Karnal , taxi stopped working and driver was not even having money to maintian his taxi and take us to destination. We started at 9 am on 2nd oct and distance to Mata chintapurni can be covered in maximum 9 hours by road.
Taxi stopped working many times in distance of 250 KMS and we could cover only 250 KM in 15 Hours. Sometimes it stopped working on Highways, sometimes rural jungles etc etc. I called up Suri taxi services to talk to Mr Harish, the person who taoook my booking but they told me that Harish is out of station and carrying no mobile. I requested for a taxi back up but the person talking to me from Suri travels was totally Unproferssional and unethical in his approach and on 2nd, OCT night i was standing in a jungle with my family with no backup. The taxi provider refused to send a taxi back up though he told me that He had a taxi parked in 50 KM. I managed to a take a room in a resort which was expensive and requested SURI'S that I am staying at resort in night so better send a perfect taxi in morning but he was bent upon that I should travel by same taxi though it was not working fine. He has not sent any taxi for back up. My whole day was wasted as well my family was put to a lot of life risk.

Next day i.e. 3rd OCT evening i managed to reach mata chintapurni by same taxi. The moment i reached Mata, my WIFE got a medical attack - "VERTIGO Motion Sickness" and she was unconcious. We are provided with diagonosis by hospital's doctor on papers too. The doctor diagnosed that it was only because of exercion she had faced in last 2 days by taxi. Thier was only a small civil hospital available there. She was given so many injections nearly 8- 10 in a strech of 1 hour to save her life. At the same moment, my sister fell down and she got a plaster on her leg. My sister has travelled from USA to my residence for mata chintapurni darshan only and spent so much for this tour.

This is the worst once can ever face. MY whole family was put to LIFE RISK by that unprofessional taxi provider. My wife was hospitalised for 2 days.

This is my request that strict to strict action should be taken against the travel agency and Suri TRAVELS should be de- listed/ black listed so that no other family faces same problem getting services from them.

Would request to provide me numbers of higher officials so that we can take it forward.
