1. The scam artist contact you by either regular mail, email, fax or via plain mobile phone text message.
2. They request you send your bank account details for deposit of your supposed win.
3. Once you do this, they reply and tell you you need to put up a "release fee" so the money may be transferred to your account (Which without a doubt is blatantly obvious to be a thwart. Why would you require further monies if you have in fact won hundreds of thousands of euros?)
4. You then send the money and they disappear off the face of the planet.In some instances they may even request more money in an attempt to push their luck.

Many thanks for your email. Unfortunately what you received is a well known 419 scam. What most of these scams attempt to do is the following:
1. The scam artist contact you by either regular mail, email, fax or via plain mobile phone text message.
2. They request you send your bank account details for deposit of your supposed win.
3. Once you do this, they reply and tell you you need to put up a "release fee" so the money may be transferred to your account (Which without a doubt is blatantly obvious to be a thwart. Why would you require further monies if you have in fact won hundreds of thousands of euros?)
4. You then send the money and they disappear off the face of the planet.In some instances they may even request more money in an attempt to push their luck.
