I was gifted a Tommy Hilfiger watch last week. The very first day I noticed scratches on the strap. I dont think those watches have quality worth their price. For that matter, Titan watches are less prone to Scratches than Hilfiger. This is a serious Quality issue and pictures how cheap and dated stuff is dumped into India. I have a strong feeling that those are the same watches that were swept of the Shelves in a western country sighting quality issues. After all, Chinese made stuff sucks. You would never expect such a pricey watch to be made in China.
I have purchased my Tommy watch this January from Shipra Mall, Noida for amount Rs 5, 500 (20% discounted) and 3-4 days after the purchase, it got to me that the dates on the date dial is skipping days, so i readjusted it many a times, but to my turmoil, it gets back there every time, and and it does not have any mechanism in it that can judge whether its January, march or December ????, and finally today it showed wrong time, I never expected this to happen from a Brand like Tommy!!! that too just one month from its buying date...

I have read all ur complaints and I am not also an exception suffering the same with Tommy Hilfiger Watch and my problem is more of a frustrating kind of a thing.I bought one new Tommy Hilfiger watch from shopper stop, kolkata on 29/07/2009.After reaching home at 10pm on the same day i discovered that the watch stopped running.Initially i thought may be its the position of the knob that was creating problem, so I fixed it by adjusting a little and it was running fine till i discovered the same thing on Friday afternoon 31/07/2009 when I wore the watch for the first time..I felt terrible after seeing that...
Same day I rushed to the shopper stop and they send me to the nearest Titan service centre where they have found that the watch is really a faulty one as it is sometimes running and sometimes it is getting stopped..can u imagine a watch worth Rs. 4, 796(after 20% discount) is giving service like this...Also due to the business policy or whatever(Shopper stop) they said that they wont replace the same watch by a new one...when i went to the Titan service centre, they are saying that they will replace only the machine not the full watch as it is beyond their Policy(what the [censored])...since i have selected that watch after spending almost 1 and a half hours in the shoppers shop, U can imagine how i was attached to the watch...neways I just gave that watch to Titan Service Centre and they have told they will replace the machine and will take 15 days...
when u buy an international brand like this u expect the last thing like this to happen and it happened to me and my points are :
1.Why this kind of a thing will happen to such a renowned and expensive brand like Tommy Hilfiger..aren't they check it properly before they releasing it to the market ...
2.Cant they replace the entire watch as the problem occurred with the watch on the very next day of buying the watch...
Do u think that all these are justified...

I bought a watch for my dad. it was an automatic model of TH. Its been an year out of which 3 months were spent by me running to get the watch repaired. addition to that once the service guys put scratches on the dial and just imagine they put one at the back cover...i dunno wat they try to do with the watch. recently i got repaired it at the head office, mumbai(holland house),
and they torn the leather strap and refused to repair or replace it..
i m waiting for a nice suggestion to work upon and get my problem solved...

Purchase Date:- 6th July 2008 still in under warranty,
I face one problem that the logo of Tommy Hilfinger in the watch Dial is get faint,
Not able to see the color of red in the logo.
What should I do for this,

I have friends who have worked in this industry i.e watch-making... all the above problems according to them will continue because absolutely cheap machinisms are deployed in those watches. they specifically told me the inner machinism is as cheap as rs 135 for them!! They are high on brand value or style but cheap on the quality which is disgraceful in the end... even my watch has developed scratches within a week and does not function properly...

As per the warranty terms, there would be two year warranty against any manufacturing defect including colour fading, rust formation etc. But just after 4.5 months o[censored]sage from the date of purchase, the metal strap has started to rust and because of this the strap got broke. This is because the strap material was not stainless steel but was of very poor quality material. When I contacted the dealer, they had informed me that, the metal strap could be replaced from the company and as such on 12-12-12 I had given the watch to the dealer. But till now I haven’t got the same. In this situation kindly do the needful for replacing the item with good quality strap or issue me a refund at the earliest.

My husband was gifted a tommy hilfiger watch worth Rs. 7000 two years ago from Shoppers Stop Kolkata (South City mall). I can't tell you how many times it had stopped working in the last two years. He took it to Shoppers Stop but they couldn't solve the problem. And how many times can you change the battery! Probably the worst watch company to be marketed in India! I wish more people would know the truth and not buy their third class watches!
I bought a Tommy Hilfiger Watch on 27th Jan, this year from shoppers stop at Select City Mall, Delhi. And to my surprise in 2 months the digits on the dial have cum out and the watch has was prone to scratches within the first week even without wearing it much. I do not understand what quality they giving. I was buying a guess watch that time, when shoppers stop convinced me to buy a Tommy Hilfiger watch. And i have been highly disappointed with this suggestion of them. Really poor quality. It seems as if only the brand name is up-end and the quality is the cheapest. In no watch i have seen the digits coming out.

Today evening finally I got it back but was so surprised that the strap was not anymore blue instead was black which looked ugly and the dial had scratches in the same places so the dial could be ours but not the strap but the Titan guys are not willing to even to listen to us nor are willing to check with the people from whom they got it repaired. Surprisingly they didnt even give us the contact details of the service guys. When you type the model number it shows as black on google but I am pretty sure it was blue, how can one for get their own watch that too which is so expensive.
Unfortunately, I dont have any proof of having a blue strap so cant argue with them. This watch with black strap looks like so ugly and from no angle looks like a TH watch and that it is 6000rs worth.
I have no choice but to bear with it but I learnt from it is to make it a habbit of taking pic before giving any goods or items for repair or exchange ( gold, home appliances, electronic goods etc) so that you dont have to regret like me.

Hi, I have bought a TH watch from shoppers stop in mumbai. However, the leather strap brakes at the joint to its dial. It must have broken at least 5 times in the last 3 months. I consider myself lucky that I did not lose it as it sometimes falls off the wrist with even a minor touch. Every watch service centre i have shown it has told me that its a manufacturing defect, though i did not allow anyone else to touch it for repair. But when I went to shoppers stop they have told me that I do not use it properly!!! And then they tell me that the repair cost will be on me. I am amazed at this kind of a reply as this is personally my 3rd TH and its costing 8000 bucks. Pls help in sorting out this problem for me.

I went to the World of Titan showroom and I asked for a replacement and they tell me that only the mechanism will be replaced and not the whole watch (again WTF)?? So anyways I didn't wanna argue abt it and gave it for servicing with approx delivery time being after 15 days. I call them on the 15th Day and they ask for 1 more week telling me all kind of Bull Sh*** that the main service center is in the Outskirts and all TH watches from Karnataka go there for servicing. After 22 Days I got my watch back from servicing...
IT STILL WAS 5 MINS SLOW WITH A BIG SCRATCH ON THE STEEL BACK COVER!!
I NEVER EVER EXPECTED THIS KIND OF QUALITY AND AFTER SALES SERVICE FROM TOMMY HILFIGER!!

Hi Guys, I admit TH watches get scratched very easily. Even mine got scratches from day one. Morover its SS Strap looked a tad uglier to me after the scratches galore. But from a distance it still doesnt get noticed. My watch is now 6 years old. The only time I had to go to the service centre was to replace the battery twice. And that too they did not do properly (at titan) and stopped within a week and so I was stuck with a stopped watch for 6 months on a foreign tour. When I got back I got it checked and they asked me if i bumped it coz the battery slipped off the slot or something. I said no way. The thing is they BTW I changed the battery twice. BUT the OEM batter lasted a good three years without any trouble. The best thing about this watch is I use it in an Extreme Marine Environment where I work. And off late its taken a lot of light bumps too. But unlike most other brand watches ive used at sea. This ones never given me any trouble. That shows that the movement is of good quality. This week my son dropped the watch and the second hand came off butt the watch still works. So Ive gotta give it for repairs. BTW I got myself a brand new Armani watch for official use now. And its strap so far doesnt get scratched easily. It comes at a price though .. Some 23 grand off my wallet. So the TH watch is goin to be used for even rougher tasks. The sappjhire crystal glass is of very high quality and does not get easily scratched. Many of you have reported about major scratches on the watches after service. That is because they put it upside down on a vice like device to close and seal the rear cover after repairs and they do not even bother to place some cloth inbetween when they press in on the vice. So the Glass and the rear get heavily scratched, I have personally seen this happen to my watch at Titan.

I bought Tommy Hilfiger watch TH/1780822/D on 09-Feb-2014 from NOIDA Titan Store. After 1 month only, the strap of the watch started breaking. Store owner is saying strap doesn't come in warranty. I wanted to tell you that I have 4 Fossil watches and 2 Titan watches with the same kind of strap and i am using them from last 4 years but none of them is having this strap breaking issue. Even when there is a lot of sweating still there is not a single crack on the strap of any of my other watches. I tried Tommy first time and I am very disappointed with that.
