Sir,
On 10th Feb 2011 I had accompanied one of my privilege client Mr: MURALEEDHARAN PILLAI a/c No: [protected] in Kollam Branch) Who hold a SB AccountChair of Kollam branch with your Esteemed Bank. Who the Person currently Decorates the Chair of Kollam Br: Deputy Manager..When I approached the Person Attest the Bank Statement, which is the prime requirement. (I give the authorization letter that person) while Taking a Demat a/c for Fortune Equity Brokers (I) Ltd, he demanded cash for attestation (Rs 75/- per page). When I brought to his notice that no Bank has ever asked for money for attesting their own client’s statement he rejected my requests asked me to get out of the bank as I am not the bank client in order to conclude our transaction as fast as possible I desided to pay cash to get the attested statement on the condition that the bank issues a receipt for the same . Perhaps this would have made HIM realize his folly of asking BRIBE and made him oblige . I will be greatly obliged if the bank higher authorities would kindly look into this matter seriously and take necessary steps so that no other individuals. I will ever go through such such an order especially hearing the word GET OUT of the BRANCH…
