The TUCS Teynampet did not issue acknowledgment when I applied for a gas connection in April. I was told that there is no application form and no acknowledgement, that I should submit my ID details and that I will be informed when my turn comes. Till July I heard nothing from the dealer, When I threatened dire action, I was told that my connection will be sent by regd mail the next day. While I was in the office, the dealer's son and daughter were working on the computer, The AC, fan and lights were on. Yet the lady answered a phone call and told someone that his order could not be printed out as there was no electricity!
I contacted IOC and made complaints, going right up to the Area Manager. He said that TUCS was making far fewer new connections than any other dealer. It would be interesting to see what the corresponding offtake is. It was very clear to me that my problem would be solved but nothing would change at the dealership. All the complaints about rebooking makes me see that even if I got the connection, this battle will continue each month when I need a refill.
