I had mailed a package on January 31st 2014 to Gandhinagar, GJ. But its not delivered. It just had clothes of my 3-month old nephew.

I tacked the package and its stuck in India's custom clearance since February 14th.

I am from S.S.Enterprise, Chennai a security system dealer, happened to experience that almost all of my packages sent from China to India were opened by customs and re packed before clearance.
I totally agree with their inspection, but, I don't know why they take more than a month time for inspection.
Moreover, the repacking by the customs department are standard and safe to handle by postal department.
Further to state that some of the items were charged customs duty about 42% instead of about 26% of the item value. Here the funny thing is that the value of the item is declared by themself on a thumb rule basis.
Whom to ask, how to claim the excess customs duty?? No idea.

USPS and Indian customs are a big pain in the butt. Just take the duty and release the parcel. Don't know why sender chose USPS instead of fedex or UPS. Stuck in customs for 10 days. Customs want my parcel to lay eggs or what? I have no clue what to do about this

Its for under 98 $ why is it held it is not even in the detained list. no one answers to the calls at customs there is no proper customer care service and the seniors from the customs says don't call us.
For how long will the customs keep stealing our things, and we get no answer for it.
it does not contain any illegal stuff that it has to be held at customs. it was for my little sister.
At least make a proper channel to inform the consumers.

Hello guys. I have the same issue with dehli customs. Package is held there dor ober 10 days. Says customs clearance but despite reciever sending kyc forms and getting a recieved forms email from them nothing is updated for days and days. Noone to answer calls and noone to tell where or when the package will be delivered. So frustrating.
Did any one's parcel reach the destination.. please let me know what to do if it stuck in customs delhi

Package/Parcel sent from India through normal Post in Sep 4 2017 with a consignment no. CK[protected]in.
On tracking of the package, it been stated that the Parcel sent from Mysore to Mumbai on 18 Sep 2017.
However, there has been no update on the whereabouts of the Parcel after this, which is 18th Sep 2017 has not been delivered until today.
My family member been to the local Post Office and there has been no information regarding my Parcel/Package goods. It has been over 1.5 months now since the last updated information.
I lodged a complaint to the India Post on their website but the complaint was stating, “Contact information is not visible “however same been updated post that until today no update from authorities. Complaint number: [protected]
I would deeply appreciate if some one could help me.

Hi, my flat envelope (just papers) in International Express Priority mail tracking shows 'Held in Customs
DELHI FOREIGN (PARCELS), INDIA '. Tracking no. EH004343******.
I paid $60+ to ship it as express and was promised to reach destination in 3-5 days, its now 14th day and still not sure when it will reach. I am really very disappointed and upset with USPS. I will never use their services in future.
When I call their USPS customer service says that whatever I see in tracking info is what they see so they can't do anything about it. My question is when it was just papers why would it go through customs? DHL or FedEx or UPS don't do this. They deliver when they promise.

Hii, on tracking my pacakage it is showing, processed through facility on nov 11th, 2017. It contains just 2-3 papers. i don't understand why don't they show exact location?

I have ordered a package from eBay and the sender has sent it through USPS.The tracking no is CF[protected]US.Since Dec 4, its showing "held in customs".

You can also call[protected]. Takes time to get through but you will get the status of your package.
BTW the status "Held" is bit misleading...packages are not held by customs. They are cleared by customs and sent to Delhi Foreign post office, which takes its own sweet time to forward them to their destination.
