[Resolved]  UTI SCUP 93 — discrepancy in payment of right amount

Dear Sir,

I joined the UTI Senior Citizen’s Unit Plan – 1993 on 21/03/1995 vide membership certificate No.SC[protected] . I enrolled for the plan at the age of 48 years. The lock in period expired on 20/03/1996.
On 01/11/2005 I was issued with an identity card and log book. Wherein it was stated that the first eligibility of my claim for treatment was Rs. 2,50,000/- . My medical cover started from 01/11/2005 Since there was no claim made in the first year, in 2006 a second entry was made for the amount of Rs. 2,62,500/- . when I intended to go for medical treatment in one of the prescribed hospitals, I was served with a notice wherin it was stated that the scheme would be terminated and I shall receive my outstanding units ( 512.603) and they will be redeemed at Rs. 23.2257 per unit i.e final termination NAV as of 18th February 2008.
This is unacceptable. Please let me know as early as possible, the course of action you expect me to take. I feel deceived when I need the benefits of my investment.

Dear Sir,

We have filed a PIL in Mumbai, and some one has done ditto in cuttck, Orissa.

There is a gentle man who has filed an action in the consumer court.

I am member of SCUP vide SC[protected] since 21.5.98.For the first time I I have claimed Reimbursment of Cataract surgery of my wife Mrs. Dropadi Chotrani that too after getting approval from UTI Kolkata office. Bills submitted to UTI Kolkata and the same after checking are forwarded to NIAC Kolkata Branch Code 511700. Incharge of branch is Mr S.K.Paul Divisional -In-Charge of the branch. Though He promissed me over phone that money will be released within 15 days . Now more than 45 days have passed but gentleman is not releasing the payment. I wrote to their CMD Shri Ramadoss to whom also gentleman promissed that payment shall be released shortly but till no progress. Will you take up the case with NIAC for early release of payment as after getting this amount my wife will under go for Cataract surgery of her second eye as cataract are on both eyes and being retired and non pensioner it is difficult for me to spent another 400000 for her surgery. Kindly help.
