utkal gramya bank — severe misguidance and misbehave

Sir,

Kindly read this mail very carefully as it is a matter of great concern that now a days, Utkal Gramya Bank has adopted the drop box system of accepting drafts, cheaques, etc. In this system we ourself drop the cheaque or draft etc in the drop box which is normally present near the gate of the bank. There is no proof left with us in this system. As per my knowledge, this is an extra facility and it is up to us whether to drop it in the box or to deposit in the bank counter. The banker has no right to misbehave and force us to drop it in the box itself. But according to the bank, this is the advance and only system to deposit. Before few months, a banker was accepting these documents by returning us the counter folio with its stamp and signature. My question is that is it really safe for the customers as forced by the banker to drop it in the box..???? In case of any loss, where is the proof of this transaction with the bank is left with us. It is simply impossible for us to prove later on in case of any loss. There is always an argument with the banker on this topic as he always refuses to take the cheaque or draft, on the other hand he forces us to drop it in the drop box. For your enquiry, you can send any civilian intentionally on the bank counter and can easily notice the problem as i said. This is a matter of SEVERE MISGUIDANCE AND MISBEHAVE.. I have already registered a complaint against this in the compliant redressal fourm and my complaint no. is[protected] . I was given this email id by the people of Jaago Grahak Jaago. kindly help me out in changing this kind of system with the bank.
