[Resolved]  VS Hospitals — Mis diagnosis/Treatment at this hospital cause death to my father who can survive more than a year without this stomach(CA) surgery and treatment

This v.s.hospital, Chetpet, chennai. Chief Doctor S.Subramanian & Dr. Prabhu Dass M.S, M.ch., either one of these doctors incorrect diagonosis
becomes a root cause for death of my father sufferring Stomach Cancer - Stage II. In our first visit to this hospital, these doctors told us
it's an curable disease. Just we have to do one surgery to took out tumor from the stomach. If the cancer cells won't spread in lymph nodes or
any other organs near the stomach then only one or two chemotheraphy (i.e., for safer side as conveyed by cheif doctor) is enough the cure this stage II cancer.

After this major surgery, these doctors did 1 IMC (immuno histo chemistry) & 2 Pathology diagnosis of the extracted tumor/cancel cells). That reports
shows the cancer cells were not present in lymph nodes & it's an poorly differentiated cancer cells. Then the chief doctor told us to undergone 1 Cycle (i.e., Six
times chemo) of chemo that too safer side. As suggested we did the first time chemo for my dad(cost around 25,000 - in which 19,000 is only for medicines) i.e., exactly 1 month after
surgery.

Make note of the mis diagnosis.

1. Dr. Prabhu Dass - who did the stomach surgery, was not discussed whether we can undergo chemo or not. Just after 1 week post operation
he checks whether is there is any surgical wounds in the stomach. That too by pressing the stomach - no other diagnosis. finally he said everything ok.

Note: out of 100 patients 2 patient may face stomach leackage because of surgical wounds or infections in strutres. Whether this kind of leakage possibilities
needs to be diagnoised or not by this M.S, M.ch., Doctor?

2. My dad is around 60 years old, Cheif has to decide whether his body condition will tollerate this Rs. 19,000 chemo medicines which will initially redue WBC count
and this may root to other infections whcih can catch hold of the body very easily. Instead, he suggested the patient as well as me that, the first chemo was successfull, so my dad can travel and visit the hospital
for second term chemo. (note here, he has discharge the patient until the WBC count reaches the normal value - as i said earlied infections can catch hold o[censored]s - when WBC count is low during chemotherapy).

Due you know what happens, just after 2 days of chemo end date, my father was become more critical beacuse of this infection and he died in my native place.
In emergency time, we tried to contact this hospital reception @ 8:00 PM, 10:00 PM.... (i.e., to connect to Cheif or Prabhu dass). The response is cheif
went outside & instead of Dr.prabhu dass we will connect to night duty doctor (who doesn't know my dad's diagnosis report).

Conclusion:

1. Cheif might have 40 yrs' of exp in oncology ("if you ask me what i have learned in my 40 years of fighting cancer is to never give up." taken from his website).
But his & his doctors mis-diagnosis, lack of time-time co-relation with actual surgery doctors, treatment approach, patient age/health condition mis diagnosis.
Cause a very serious impact to patients.

2. In the present world, Doctor's doesn't know their job values/roles in their profession. Instead the only thing in their mind is money.
From patien perspective, they should realize that they are almost like a god for the patient.
So don't go with one doctors or one hospital opinion, even if we spent addition money, just go for atleast 2 or 3 more doctors or hospital diagnosis.
Atlast take the final decission. Don't leave the decision to this kind of stupid doctors.
Our family members are more valuable, so better decide on 2-4 doctors/hospital reviews and internal family reviews too.

3. So don't loose your lovable by taking out treat in V.S.Hospital, chetpet, chennai

4. If the patient age is 50+yrs or his/her health is so weak. in that case don't go heavy chemo or radition therapy as suggested by oncologist. Because
the end time for them will reach more sooner than the actual. so atleast we can provide them pain killer and lets our lovable be with us for some more days.
