“Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited”, worst ever response to the customer, from a company in the health care domain.
This is a Health insurance company may be based on chennai. But primary operations are from chennai. Through this forum I want to inform all the readers that this company is not fit to be in a “Health Insurance” domain. I have bought a policy for my mohter arround 3 months back, while in a weeks time the amount has got debited from my credit card. But it has got debited twice. The trouble started from then… I had to speak to 10s of people explaining the same thing and nobody bothered to respond. The person who I have taken the policy from was on leave at that time it seems, and so nobody can help me on this. Then I told them to cancel the policy, because tomorrow when I am really in need to reimburse my medical bills and the person is on leave !! Who will help me, what should I do ? I have opted to cancel the policy and I have requested to credit the entire emonunt back to my Credit card, but its been 3 months now that nobody is responding and the customer care is a puppet, there is no seriousness at work. They always tell we will get back to you, nobody has a clear status even after raising a complaint. Its been 3 weeks that I have raised a complaint in this regard and nobody cared to look into it. I published this info for all those readers who are investing in health care. Please invest in credible/sensible companies. And please do not sufer like me. For your info my complaint number is 237, 3 months back. Imagine how many more are suffering because of Star health and Allied insurance company.

my claim no. CORPCL2010-10PMC16111739813 HAS BEEN DECLINED ON A FALSE ACCUSATION.I am acorporate policy holder as my daughter is ahigh level G.E employee.For the first time I walked into a meek group that is you & am repenting.Also your agent has not yet forwarded the required documents-how do I claim my demands ? will the plea of a senior citizen will be looked into or I should think I have donated money To aFRAUD, BEGGER ORGANISATION.
IT IS YOUR FAULT YOU MUST HAVE NOT USED CREDIT CARD IT MAY BE USED BY SOME FRAUD .INSTED OF BUYING ONLINE BETTER CALL AGENT AT YOUR PLACE HE WOULD GIVE YOU GOOD SERVICE
Star has not remiburshed my father hospitalisation charges and they took three days to reject it They are not fit to run the company
whats going on here.
they are providing worst services, i faced similar situation in last may as i was hospitalised and got bill of 11401/- rs from hospital but star health rejected 1572 rs amt ( claim no, 0007642) and when i called up them they told me that some test and medicine was not required in your case . I asked to talk to doctor in hospital or just give rejection reason in written so i can claim that money to them . They simply forwarded a letter to hospital and not menioned anywhere that they have rejected 1572 rs for this reason. Hospital authority ( Avantika hospital, gzb) did same thing and asking for written rejection from star health, i am trying to contact many senior persons in star healh for last 2 months to just give me reason on paper atleast so you can not just reject like this . Hospital guys gave me all papers and those clearly mention that those test were required but star health not care to listen and respond me, I am still trying to follow up them and will send a formal complaint to IRDA this month if they didnt responded.

To all above matter's i just want to say that no body in this whole world is 100% satisfied.myself Prabal pratap singh rathore agent of this company, from an year had experienced a very good service by my company. my client's have got big amt. claim settlements more than three times, and small claims many a times.
Due to no third party administrator it becomes easy and fast reimbursement . thanks to " STAR HEALTH AND ALLIED INSURANCE COMPANY LTD." for approaching even lower class of people, to rural areas and making health insurance easily affordable by even a panwala, n rickshawwala.
I, deepak from nashik, maharashtra is an agent of star health co.I myself for my accident & my 8 out of 9 customers have got their claims either cashless or reimbursement. 9th is under process. Just before one day my client received his claim amt.from the co. I have read all the comments posted. There may be some misunderstanding or misguidence by agent or by some relative of the patient.Sometimes co. may fail to fulfill the costomer.But it does'nt mean that the co. is worst. Had Anybody got experience of another co? If not, how one can say the Star Health is worst? Many hospitals charge bill amount more than it is prescribed by them to company. So that co. pays for that what is prescribed by the hospital and in the wording provided with the policy document, all the clauses are mentioned. I request all the clients to please read the wording carefully for the further convinience. MAY GOD GIVE YOU GOOD HEALTH ! THANKS!

Minimum invetment 10500Rs n get just double amt in 36 months 3500Rs/6month till 36 months.

Most company is giving double amt in 6month, 1yr ... but they all r closed in few months and i m working with company from last 2 yrs and i have satisfied my customers and me also.

I m pradeep pawar my ID P/171115/01/2010/003773 my claim no is 0002502 last april i was admit in hospital & i sending file to your chennai office, after one month i recive letter form your chennai my claim rejected. Then i visited to thane branch meet mr. Lokesh & i given requst in writeing pls rechaek my document he told me within two i call u but he not reply till pls conferm what my claim my email "[protected]@yahoo.com"
I have received the Family heailth Optima Insurance policy letter in the month of October and my policy no is P/171100/01/2011/007682 .
But till todate Ihavent received the photo cards for the family members as well for me.
I have contacted the Andheri(mumbai) office several times but in vain.
Kindly help me to get the Photo cards since they are essential part of the medicalim insurance.

My policy no.P/201114/01/2010/002925. Claim intimation no. CLI/201114/001. Date of admission: 26/5/2010. The case not considered as per ur remarks "for treatment of any disease as an inpatient only".although the patient admitted in the Hospital vide Bill No.1078 dated 27/5/10 as per the Doctor's instructions. Several times i approached to local office but no satisfactory reply from them (Mr Sachin Jaiswal). On21/12/10. I contected your Head office officer Mr patankar (Mob no. [protected]) about the claim settlement, he assured.Kindly recheck the same & take earlypositive action action.

Dear Sir,

I have taken an insurance policy on 31.12.2010, with your STAR HEALTH ALLIED INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED, at the branch of T. Nagar, Chennai-17. My Policy plan is Family Health Optima (2A + 1C) and My Policy Number is P/111113/01/2011/004366.

I am a new customer. Initially I do not know the formalities clearly. I could not able to find the agent, who was makes me to take the policy thro’ telephone canvassing. So I was contacted your helpline before admit my child. They have said to me as, “First you can admit your child, then you can inform to us. We will help you and we will do the process properly.”

As per the oral advice, that was I had thro’ your Help line number, on 23.01.2011, at 10:30 pm, I was admitted my child (R.INITHA) at Child Jesus Hospital, Trichy, which is one of your network Hospital, and I informed also to your management thro the Help line number. They are accepted and registered my intimation and they are given the claim number to me. The claim number is 0088444. And they said, “You can give the claim number at the hospital, while you are filling the pre authorization form, which is the initial formality to start the process and to do our service well to you as per the policy contract.”

On next day (24.01.2011) morning I was done everything as per they said. Your reply was “we here by authorize and guarantee for payment of Rs.2000/- (INDIAN RUPEES Two thousand only). This was I known by the hospital intimation only (Your management didn’t intimate me). So, I thought as my policy was eligible to get the claim and I was continued the treatment of my child at that same hospital. On 26.01.2011, again I called to the Help line number and I asked the advice as, “Sir, by the current situation we will may discharged my child tomorrow (Because the Doctor has said to me as like this), so can I want to do anything as per the formalities?” He said to me, “you don’t want to do anything; we are authorized already for Rs.2000/- to your policy. So you can continue your treatment. Finally at the end of treatment you can send or you just say at the hospital to send the all original documents and bills along with the discharge summary, which are all given by the hospital before discharge. Even they are known all the formalities also. So, you don’t worry.” After that advice I was in little happy with the good feel.

On 27.01.2011, at the morning visit, doctor has said to discharge my baby. On that same day evening from the hospital they have sent all the original bills and documents to your management thro’ the courier. On next day 28.01.2011, morning your reply is “ENHANCEMENTS ARE REJECTED”. At the hospital, they said you want to settle the balance bill amount, and then only you can discharge your baby from here. The bill amount is Rs.12200/-. Immediately I am contacted your helpline number, they said, “Your policy has taken on 31.12.2010 only. You are admitted your child before 40 days. This is the fault as per the policy contract. So only we are rejected your claim amount.” “Why you didn’t intimate me initially before admit my child or before start the treatment and or before you are given the authorization for Rs.2000/- and if this my fault is, How could you given the authorization to me?” for this my question they said, “I will transfer your call to the particular section you can ask them”. After 10 minutes, 6 or 7 calls transferring I talked with a madam her name is Ayisha. After heard my complaint she said, “You can call me after 15 minutes, I will reply to you.”

After 15 minutes, again I tried to contact that madam. But I faced same primary enquiries, after explained my problem same calls transferring. On that call at the end of call, I could not able to speak with that madam. Because that madam said to another one madam as, “I want more 20 minutes to check the file of him”. So the intermediate madam has said to me to call after 20 minutes. Above that about 60 minutes I am waited at billing section at the hospital with my abnormal health conditioned child to discharge her.

After 20minutes, again I tried to contact that madam. Again after same primary enquiries, same explanations, same call transferring, that madam told as, “By mistake they are given the authorization wrongly from our side. But we can’t able to sanction your claim amount. Because if we will done it, that will make mean as again we continued that our mistake. So, sorry we are helpless.” After 3 hrs I arranged and I paid the bill amount.

From that all above incidents, I have very disappointed, and I had lot of tension, head ache, disrespect from the hospital with the lost of Rs.10000/-. I need the reply with justice for all loses of money, time, improper service, irrespective behavior at the hospital.

I request you to kindly take the necessary action with your particular department, which was given me an improper service and kindly order to sanction my claim amount by reimbursement. I expect your gently reply as early as possible. I have attached some papers herewith for your kind reference.

Sir, I applied card on 2009 while iam working in Block resource centre Tirupur, now i got transfer to Thiruchengode Block, my number is CBE/01/SB314/1784028 at present time, I did not get the card, i enquired in tirupur office. sir please do the needful

Sir, I Uma shankar shivhare POLICY NO:P/191113/01/2011/001076. which was lapsing on 9thNOV 2011 had paid Rs6400 to agent Mr Gyan Chandra Jaiswal contact No([protected]) before the lapsing date and told him to give the amount to Mr sunil Kumar Singh(main agent) contact No([protected]). On the day of lapsing I got a call from Mr Sunil Kr Singh that he had not received any payment from me.On 5th dec 2011 after talking to him he told that he cannot help me in any way and even told to launch an FIR and even report to media. But I dont want to do such thing and this is my heartiest request to you to kindly continue my policy in your company.
