Yes I too have faced the same problem of my charger.I used it only once for 3 hrs and in next day it got out of service with heavy smoke and short circuit. However the dealer has changed it with a new one immediately.Still, YO must look into it
Really running yo bike is costly affair, I purchase Yo speed in April 2009, Replaced charger twice @ 2090/- each. Light is not working... Brake shoe gone. No after sales service. Dealer says to bring it to their place, It is not possible becoz I live in south delhi and dealer is at karkaddooms court i.e. approximately near Ghaziabad border. I think i had taken wrong decision.
This is not a value for money bike... I have Yo speed and its lying idle at home after 1.5 years o[censored]sage.. and having done only 8000 kms...Batteries gone and 11k is a huge amount to spend on batteries.. Brakes are of worst quality ... over all build is poor and the front fork is totally gone which makes me difficult to balance the bike ... WORST WORST WORST...40K gone to mud..
Hello, I am confused regarding your claim of savings in running a Yo byke with respect to petrol driven two wheelers.
As per the warranty, the life of the battery set is one year. The cost of the battery is Rs.14000.00, as on date. Hence per month cost towards battery alone is appx.Rs.1167.00 and with this amount one can buy 19 Ltr of Petrol with Lub-oil. Considering average of most of the two wheelers is 50KM per Ltr, the total running 19ltrX50=950 KM. Even ignoring the cost towards charging etc., the running cost of a Yo Byke seems to be more than that of a petrol driven two wheeler.
Moreover, their pricing also is not transparent, since they are not disclosing the base price in their web site which is a general practice of any standard & reputed manufacturers.
