[Resolved]  ZEN ESTILO VXI — Misleading/improper information at the time of CAR sale by authorized dealer M/s Bagga Link Motors at Patparganj bought on 21st June 2008

Dear Sir,

With due respect, i wish to state my very bad experience with one of your autorized dealer i.e. M/s Bagga Link Motors at Patparganj, New Delhi.

I have bought Zen Vxi from M/s Bagga Link Motors. One of my major concern at the time of purchase was that i wanted CNG got fitted on my vehicle from the authorized dealer.

We (Me, My wife and my Uncle) were told at Bagga Link Motors that they will get the CNG fitted on my vehicle from their authorized dealer. We were also told that on getting CNG fitted the Warranty given by Maruti will lapse but Bagga Link will provide the warranty in case we got CNG fitted from them @ Rs. 55000/- which also includes the cost of endorsement on RC. (WHERE AS IN MARKET IT COSTS BETWEEN Rs. 35000 to Rs. 38000/-).
We had approached The Competent Motors also for providing warranty with CNG if we buy car from them. But we were told at The Competent Motors that on getting CNG fitted warranty, provided by maruti will expire and they (competent) do not provide any warranty on CNG fitted vehicles.

THUS WE OPTED TO BUY OUR CAR FROM M/S BAGGA LINK MOTORS ON THE BASIS OF ASSURANCE PROVIDED BY THEM THAT THEY WILL BE PROVIDING WARRANTY ALSO ON CNG FITTED VEHICLE PURCHASED FROM. (Though the price was too high as compared to market price as well as quoted by "The Competent Motors".

LATER, at the time of delivery of vehicle on getting CNG fitted we were not given the promised warranty of the vehilce rather it was told to us that Bagga Link cannot provide any written warranty on CNG fitted vehicles it was only verbal for all cases. They showed us that they have maintained records for the customers who have got the CNG fitted from them and they cover their vehilce under the verbal warranty. THEY CHARGED US TOO HIGH PRICE FOR CNG JUST FOR THE SAKE OF WARRANTY WHICH NEVER EXISTED IN WRITTEN AND IS YET GIVEN TO US. (they are not at all ready to give us written assurance.) TILL NOW I HAVE STOPPED PAYMENT OF CHEQUE IN THE BANK ISSUED TO THEM.

We had bought vehicle on 21st June 2008 and got the CNG fitten on our vehicle on 21st July 2008 when the warranty was not given and the cheque was stopped. The cng fitting was delayed by one month by saying non-availablity of cng cylinders.

Further on 1st August 2008 i was told that i need to pay additional Rs. 2300 for endorsement in insurance papers without with my Insurance is invalid. i was also told that if i do not agree with the verbal warranty then they can remove the CNG Kit from my vehilce. BUT WHICH WILL BE OF NO USE NOW AS THE WARRANTY GIVEN BY MARUTI HAS EXPIRED AND WE ARE RUNNING THE VEHILCE WITHOUT VALID INSURANCE.

NOW, THEY ARE ASKING ME TO MAKE PAYMENT OR TO GET THE CNG KIT REMOVED. BUT MY POINT IS EVEN IF I REMOVE THE KIT MY WARRANTY AND INSURANCE BOTH ARE INVALID NOW. AND THE WARRANTY AS PROMISED BY BAGGA LINK MOTORS IS NOWHERE IN WRITTEN FOR WHICH I WAS TO PAY HIGH PRICE AS COPARED TO MARKET.
BUT CNG WAS MY MAIN CONCERN AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE AND I STILL INSIST ON WRITTEN WARRANTY FROM BAGGA LINK MOTORS with valid insurance and RC in total cost of Rs. 55000/-

KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. OR ADVISE WHETHR I SHOULD GO TO CONSUMER COURT FOR THE SAME.

THANKING YOU,

VIKAS ARORA
