I am a resident of Velachery Kubera nagar. Recently construction work started at a private site adjacent to our house. The work is done day & night continously on all days. Even at night all kinds of drilling, planking, filing works are carried out. With lot of small children & old people around the area, it's completely annoying and very much disturbing one's sleep.
Even when asked friendly to avoid work during night, there's no proper reception - the land being owned by a high profile personnel in Chennai / Tamilnadu 's top technical educational institutions that grants permissions for major projects in chennai.
Government must make an act restricting the time for such work in residential areas. We could find government regulations had been laid in Bangalore. Such regulations should be brought in all cities.
