[Resolved]  Cosmos Cooperative Bank Ltd — Illegal account closure charges

Bank email: [protected]@cosmosbank.in Dear Madam/Sir, I am having the savings account with Cosmos co-operative Bank, Ganeshnagar Br Kothrud, Pune. I wanted to close the account but bank charged me the account closure charges since I was closing my account before 3 years. My account with bank is more than 1 year and already maintained sufficient average quarterly balance as per rules. I went through all the rules mentioned in passbook but it was not at all mentioned about any such charges in the rule book. I told the branch manager but she said its a system generated and I have to pay this amount otherwise account will not be closed. I was completely helpless. I feel this completely unethical practice from the bank as they do not disclose any such charges while opening the account and consider that customer will pay whatever charges that bank will levy. I sincerely request you to lodge the complaint against Cosmos bank, Ganeshnagar br, Kothrud. I further request to order Cosmos bank to close the account without any charges and send the balance amount cheque to my home address. Thank you for the support, regards, Paras Baldota
