My name is Piyush Tailor, proud Indian Citizen working in Qatar. Last month I purchased a bat from an online seller whose link and mobile no. is copied below, named as Cricket_bat._maker,

I paid Rs.7500 for purchasing a bat on Pongal Offer (Sunny Tony Icon), bat price was Rs.5500
And shipping charges to Qatar were Rs.2000 . I found it a good deal and paid him Rs. 7500 on 15th Jan, 2021.

Firstly, there was a shipment delay of 10days from the day of shipment that was promised for which when i enquired, i didn't got any replies. The trouble didn't end there, the bigger problem i observed when i received the bat. The bat wasn't the Sunny Tony(brand name) Icon grade bat that i was promised, rather it is a locally made bat which has many manufacturing flaws and wood has a big Knot at the centre of the bat near handle that runs till the edge, also bat came without Stickers, protective cover for bat, side edge protection stickers and Even Without Bat handle Grip which all were promised to be given by Mr. Piyush Gupta.

The bat i received was sent by Mr. Ankit Gupta from the address below,

I am not sure apart from me how many people are fooled so far by using various brand names by this fake guy. This is a serious allegation as it involves the brands which would have authorised them to use their names or if not that could be another serious matter that needs attention of these brand.

I here by seek full reimbursement of the amount i paid for the bat excluding shipping charges.

I am really looking forward to your prompt action against such a scammer.

Please find the attached receipt of my payment and pics of the bat that clearly shows the defect and the condition how i received.

Please find the attachment to see the condition of the bat i received where one can clearly see the big knot and the deformation occurred during shipping.

This is not what i wanted to do as Government of India is promoting local manufacturers by Make In India campaign but these guys are spoiling name of the nation fooling people around the world.
