DD National / Doordarshan — Non coverage of important sports news by DD Podhigai (Tamil) channel

It is a matter of concern that in the morning 08 AM news of Doordarshan Podhigai (Tamil), only two foot ball matches of FIFA World Cup, 2022 out of four matches held in the night of 01-02/12/22 were covered by the morning 08 AM news. Two matches held at 0830 PM on 01/12/22 were only covered. The other two matches viz. Germani Vs. Costa Rica and Spain Vs. Japan which were held at 1230 AM on 02/12/22 were carelessly not covered. Since these were mid night matches, these matches should have been covered in the morning 08 AM news of DD Podhigai (Tamil). But they were not covered even though ample time was there for the coverage. I request that action should be taken against the concerned news compiler/reporter as he had failed to inform the public about the important sports event. An action taken reply may be sent to me
