DETAILED STATEMENT OF REFUND PROCESS
I, Mrs. M. Kalyani reddy state the following facts regarding my refund issue with Decorpot – Banjara Hills branch:
1. I approached Decorpot for interior design services after their marketing approach and discussions. On [mention date if available], I paid an advance amount of ₹25, 000 as an initial payment.
2. Within one week of making the payment, I decided not to proceed with Decorpot, as I observed unprofessional conduct, lack of transparency, and poor coordination during the initial stage itself.
3. I clearly informed Decorpot about my decision to cancel and requested a refund of the entire advance amount, as no service of any nature was availed by me.
No designs were provided
No site visit was done
No drawings or plans were shared
No materials were discussed or ordered
No work was executed
4. At the time of cancellation, Mr. Sandeep from the Banjara Hills branch, who had collected the payment, assured me that the refund would be processed within 10 days.
5. Trusting this assurance, I waited. However, no refund was received even after the promised period.
6. When I followed up, I was repeatedly redirected from one person to another. I was asked to:
Contact Mr. Sandeep again
Send emails to [protected]@decorpot.com
Follow up with multiple representatives
7. Despite sending several emails and making repeated follow-ups, I did not receive any concrete response or refund. I was only given verbal assurances and changing timelines, without any written confirmation.
8. Later, I was informed that Mr. Phanindra was handling the refund. However:
I was never introduced to him formally
His role was never clarified
He was copied on all emails and fully aware of the delay
9. Shockingly, after more than 60 days had already elapsed, I was informed of a new timeline of 40–45 days for refund processing. This timeline was never communicated earlier and is completely unreasonable after such a prolonged delay.
10. Till date, it has been over 60 days since my cancellation request, and ₹25, 000 remains unpaid, despite no service being availed.
11. Due to continuous delay, contradictory statements, and lack of accountability, I was forced to file a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH). Even after this escalation, the issue remains unresolved.
12. The conduct of Decorpot has caused me mental stress, harassment, and financial inconvenience, and reflects deficiency in service and unfair trade practice, as they are holding customer money without providing any service or valid justification.

I respectfully request the Hon’ble Consumer Forum to:
1. Direct the opposite party to refund ₹25, 000 immediately
2. Award compensation for mental agony and harassment
3. Award litigation and incidental costs
4. Pass any other order deemed fit in the interest of justice
