Delhi Airport Pre-paid Taxi — Scam by Delhi Traffic Police Pre-Paid Taxi Counter T3

The prepaid taxi kiosk at IGI T3 is running a scam for the last few months. On 2nd October 2023, around 10.00 pm, I went to the counter to book a taxi. The fare was Rs 400 and I gave the man at the counter a Rs 500 note. Between the time I took to zip up my wallet and look up at him, he changed the note and gave me a Rs 100 note saying that I had given him a Rs 100 note instead of Rs 500. I was fairly certain that I gave him a Rs 500 note but he insisted that I gave him a Rs 100 note by mistake. This was late in the evening and as a single woman traveller I did not want to pursue this any further right there, so I gave him another Rs. 400 against which he gave me a receipt for the taxi. So I ended up paying Rs 800 for a trip which should have been Rs 400. The administration should take strict disciplinary action against these criminal elements and ensure safety and service for all travellers at the capital's airport.
