My mother Balvir Kaur who was member of above society wide member ship number 3050 passed away on 21st Aug 2018. I subsequently filed to receive the deposits in optional and membership deposited in Feb 2019. I have followed up many times to know the status of death claim settlement but people in charge have spoken very rudely stating that due to an Income tax case going on they can't pay the money to me and I have to wait indefinitely. I would like to state that my death claim is approx 2 lacs and I don't understand why such a small amount can not be paid when in the past I was paid 75k and 30k. Recently I received a phone call from society asking me to become member after my mother's death and then I can withdraw the amount. I am not interested in becoming member of society because I no longer live in Delhi. I am living in Mumbai from last 2 years. Request your urgent help to recover the death claim balance of my Mother.
