Delhi World Public School — Harassment by the School Management

We wish to bring to your kind attention below issue.

We have admitted our Son in the school affiliated to CBSE “ Delhi World Public School, Medchal Highway, Telangana” two years back currently our child is in IXth grade, Final exams are starting this week.

During the VIII th grade itself we noticed the behavior of the PE instructor named Shashi very unprofessional before us and during the school hours. He slapped and beaten our child before the class . I had enquired the reason for the incident however we were told the class teacher asked therefore he got physical with no other proper reason. Later they also denied physically beating the child . I asked them to check for the video, Management assured will examine and take necessary action however no action take we were told camera does not working. Neither they allowed us to interact with the PE Teacher on the issue till date nor any action was taken. Off late the same PE Teacher boldly challenges our child regularly no one can do anything to me if you want you can inform your Parents.

Highlighting some of the behavior of the PE Instructor:

a) Harassment by irritating and humiliating before the other students
b) Shouts very loudly inside the class room, corridor and common areas of the school premises
c) Holds the collar of the coat and speaks while talking, also instigated another student to fight and hold the neck etc.,
d) Drags the school bag on the floor
e) Eats PAN masala in the school premises & spits keeping his legs over the chair etc.,

Over a period of time Child is continuously targeted and harassed in various manner, PE teacher is specifically questioning the Child will you bring your Parents. Management has changed the section 3 times during the year itself without any proper justification, some of the reason stated are below:

a) Normal & regular shuffle
b) Bright students are to be kept in A section and dull students are kept in B section, therefore they have moved our child to dull students section.
c) Teacher not able to handle the class with some of the students together

Two months back we met Principal to discuss on these issues and the negative impact on the child, however no actions taken nor issues taken seriously. As a matter of fact PE Instructor continues to involving in the class room management also involved in evaluating the answer papers.

During Jan-24 we have called up the Admin and enquired on the qualification of the PE Instructor and also if he is aware of the Legal implication for such behavior with child in the school, response is nil till today.

Child is highly disturbed and not able to accept frequent issues and feels personally targeted . Emotionally affected even in the sleep he is getting up and murmuring, crying on the issues in the school . As a child he is getting irritated also reacting to the provocation at the school.

Considering Child is entering 10th Grade coming academic year the matter is serious.
