Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Stany Steevan B, resident of Bengaluru, Karnataka, hereby file this complaint against the seller and delivery partner regarding a fraudulent transaction and deficiency in service.
On 27/04/2026, I placed an order for a pair of sunglasses through an online platform. The product was delivered via Delhivery under Tracking ID [protected]. At the time of delivery, I made a payment of ?799 through Cash on Delivery.
However, upon opening the package, I found that instead of the ordered sunglasses, I had received an entirely different product (gel), which clearly indicates a fraudulent act. Furthermore, the delivery agent refused to allow me to verify the contents of the package at the time of delivery and left immediately after collecting the payment.
Despite attempting to contact both the seller and the delivery company, I have not received any satisfactory response or resolution.
This act amounts to “deficiency in service” and “unfair trade practice” under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. The actions of the opposite parties also indicate elements of cheating, attracting provisions under Section 420 IPC and Section 406 IPC.
Therefore, I respectfully pray that this Honorable Commission may be pleased to:
Direct the opposite parties to refund the amount of ?[Amount] paid by me
Award compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience caused
Initiate appropriate action against the seller and delivery partner
Grant any other relief deemed fit in the interest of justice
