Dental Council Of India — Urgent Complaint Regarding Hygiene Protocols During Toothsi Home Scan on October 15, 2025

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the hygiene standards observed during a Toothsi home dental scan conducted at my residence on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at approximately 11:38 AM.
During the session, I observed several lapses in hygiene protocol that caused serious concern:
- The scanner equipment, particularly the intraoral tip, did not appear to be sterilized prior to use..
- There was no visible use of sealed or disposable scanner tips.

Given the close contact nature of dental procedures and the risk of cross-contamination, I believe this incident may have violated basic safety standards and ethical guidelines outlined by the Dental Council of India.
I request the following:
- A detailed explanation of Toothsi’s sterilization protocols for home scans.
- Assurance that such lapses will not occur in future appointments.
- Immediate investigation into this incident and appropriate corrective action.
I am considering reporting this matter to the Dental Council of India and relevant consumer protection authorities if satisfactory resolution is not provided.
Please treat this matter with urgency and respond within 7 working days.
Sincerely,
Manideepak M
