Department Of Road Construction Pmgsy — Requirement of constructing speed breaker in my village

Hi,

I am Senthil from Thukkachi Village, Thukkachi (Post) Pugalur (taluk), Karur (DT), Tamil Nadu.

The roads in my village have been revamped recently under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. During the revamp time, some of the existing speed breakers have been removed which puts village peoples life into more risk. Village peoples are really suffered because of truck/lorry drivers driving beyond speed limit by consuming alcohol. Since there was an major incident happened in the other nearest route next to my village, those area peoples didn't allowed heavy load lorry/trucks that carries blue metal supplies.
Since then these Crusher lorry owners preferred our village road for regular Msand, Psand, Blue metal supplies during day and night times (The are not preferring the high way routes because of 5-6 additional KMs but that would be the best option for them)
And the fate didn't changed, as one of person from my nearest colony was hit by crusher lorry and he is no more now as these drivers are always drunk and drive by exceeding the speed limit. Though we have warned them many times, today (07-OCT-2022) also we have seen 4 lorry and 1 JCP were running uncontrollable speed with inexperienced drunken drivers. Some of the lorries doesn't even have permits so its against out govt rules and regulations and we are desperately looking for inserting those speed breakers back to ensure peoples safety, sooner than later.
Because, there is a government school within 200-300 feet range and we have lots of kids from the nearest colony walks along side of the road during morning and evening time. so we want to ensure the proactive measurements are taken here and urge the speed breaker requirements at the earliest. Or its better to take necessary action to deviate the crusher lorries towards the nearest NH and not let them run through the remote village roads, these roads are too still small and its mainly laid for village peoples usage.
