I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of serious concern regarding unethical practices at Dermiq Clinic, where I underwent laser hair removal treatment. I believe that my experience highlights a case of fraudulent conduct and misrepresentation by the clinic.

I had approached Dermiq Clinic for laser hair removal treatment for my full body, consisting of eight sessions, for which I paid Rs. 220, 000. During the initial consultation, I disclosed to the Dr. Vijaya Deepika Narra that I had polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOD) few years back and was advised to undergo tests for PCOD. After conducting the tests, I submitted the reports to the doctor, who, in turn, suggested the use of pills for a few days.

The treatment progressed with four sessions completed, and at the onset of the fifth session, my husband and I inquired about the lack of significant results. It was only then that the doctor disclosed, for the first time, that laser hair removal might not be effective for individuals with PCOD, especially concerning facial hair. This crucial piece of information was deliberately withheld at the commencement of the treatment.

To further complicate matters, during the fifth session, we were asked to sign a document acknowledging that the doctor had informed us about my PCOD problem. This sudden revelation and the request for a signed acknowledgment raise serious ethical concerns and question the integrity of the clinic's practices.

I have recorded a conversation with the doctor where she committed to refunding the money from the second session because she received the PCOD test results before the start of second session. However, despite the doctor's acknowledgment and assurance, the clinic has only refunded Rs. 163, 135 out of the Rs. 220, 000 paid. Considering the cost of each session at Rs. 27, 500, the refund falls significantly short, and the clinic has not provided a transparent breakdown of the deductions.

I believe that Dermiq Clinic's actions amount to fraudulent and unethical medical practices, and I kindly request your intervention to address this matter. I need full refund for the money I paid due to the unethical practices and exploiting the money from the patients.

I have attached copies of relevant documents, including payment receipts. If necessary, I am willing to submit the recorded conversation and the clinic case file photo copy as evidence in the consumer court and to the medical council if this leads to there.
