Subject: Complaint regarding unauthorized loan activity, false recovery calls, and impact on credit score (CIBIL).
Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding a loan account associated with my name in the Dhani App.
In 2022, I had taken a small loan through the Dhani application, which was supposed to be repaid in installments. However, due to the complex and unclear process, I decided not to continue using the service and requested for the loan to be closed. Despite my decision, I received multiple calls from Dhani representatives encouraging me to use the sanctioned amount, promising that my credit limit would increase upon repayment.
I clearly informed the representative that I did not wish to use the loan amount due to the low sanctioned value and requested the account be closed. During that call, I was asked to share OTPs and follow a few steps, which I did under the impression that it was part of the closure process. After that, the balance amount that had appeared earlier was reversed, and I stopped using the application completely.
Since then, I have been receiving frequent and harassing recovery calls claiming that I owe an amount of approximately ₹2400–₹2500. I believe this to be incorrect, as I had never used the loan amount after requesting closure. Now I am being informed by my bank that there is a negative remark on my CIBIL report due to this Dhani loan, which is seriously affecting my credit score and causing financial difficulties.
I respectfully request the following:
1. A full investigation into my loan account history from your records for the year 2022.
2. Immediate clarification and closure of the falsely reported outstanding amount.
3. Removal of the negative remark from my CIBIL report.
4. Assurance that I will not receive any further recovery calls for this disputed amount.
If I do not receive a proper resolution within 15 working days, I will be compelled to escalate this matter to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Ombudsman, the Consumer Court, and the Credit Bureau (CIBIL) for necessary action.
I hope for a quick and fair resolution.
Thanking you,
Sincerely,
[MOHAMMAD GULFAM]
