Me and my brother visited the district library on 23rd June 2022. Since it was our first visit we were not aware that we were supposed to go to the registration office first. As we directly headed towards the main library, the female employee (name not known unfortunately) pointed and called us as if we were little kids. She was extremely rude and disrespectful while interacting with us and started scolding us like we were little kids. I lost my temper when she started commenting on my clothes and asked me to wear "jeans and top" even though I was fully clothed in a long dress. This is a major issue since the Library is a public property and not a private one. She is a government employee and not the owner of the place. It breaks my heart that the beautiful library and the atmosphere is ruined by such employees who perform their jobs as a favor and not as their duties. I am only 18 and powerless and so is my brother. She was very well aware that she could easily humiliate and embarrass us and proceeded with it. Had we been accompanied by our parents she wouldn't have been so mean. I hope this issue is addressed as soon as possible. Was this information helpful? |
