I want to share my recent experience with Don Windows, Nellayi, Kodakara, Thrissur (website: donwindows.com), in hopes that it helps others avoid similar trouble. Their parent company or sibling company is Doortech India, but my experience suggests that reliability issues may extend across the group.
On 6th August 2024, I ordered steel windows and doors through WhatsApp from Don Windows, for a total value of Rs. 1, 55, 700/-. Based on their assurance that delivery would be made within 15 days, I paid an advance of Rs. 62, 000/- and even began brickwork on my house, trusting their commitment.
However, the nightmare began after the 15-day window:
Despite repeated follow-ups, the supplier failed to deliver on time.
On 21st August, they assured me that delivery would happen the next week.
On 22nd August, they claimed that only the windows were ready and promised to deliver them first, and the doors later.
The windows’ delivery kept getting delayed multiple times: 26th Aug → 29th Aug → 30th Aug. I eventually received the windows on 30th August and made an additional payment of Rs. 66, 250/-, which included some advance for the doors (around Rs. 20, 000/-). They said half of the doors’ work was completed.
But then the doors remained undelivered, despite repeated requests. Their staff kept giving contradictory explanations: sometimes saying the doors will only be fitted at the final stage, sometimes claiming partial work was done, and later stating that the work had not even started.
I also received a PDF “Order Confirmation” from them, which listed the doors, specifications, advance & balance payments, and committed delivery timeline. Yet, months passed with no progress.
At last, in March 2025, I contacted them again for door delivery. Shockingly, they admitted that they had not even started the work, even though earlier they had claimed that half of it was already done. I insisted that the doors be delivered before 17th April 2025, as my housewarming was fixed for that date. They agreed.
Now, with almost 25–30 days remaining, I trust that they will deliver on time. Initially, they had mentioned that they would need only 10 days for windows and 15 days if doors were included. Since it’s only two doors and 25 days are still left, I believe they will deliver on time.
However, the delays continued:
On 1st April 2025, they assured delivery within a week.
By 8th April, no specific date was given.
On 10th and 11th April, they ignored calls and messages.
After repeated follow-ups, they finally messaged that delivery could only happen on 2nd May 2025.
Since this was unacceptable, I requested a refund via WhatsApp on 11th April and again by email on 14th April 2025. On 15th April, they agreed but asked me to follow up after one week. Till now (17th August 2025), I have not received any refund.
I decided to file a complaint in the consumer court against them. However, I was shocked to find that the legal notice was returned, as the address mentioned on the bill was incorrect.
After this experience, I thoroughly checked their background and found that many other customers had similar complaints:
Products were not delivered on time.
Minor delays of 2–3 days may be acceptable, but there was no proactive communication about delays.
Customers were often given excuses like “machine not working” or “employees not well”, which seemed like standard scripted lies rather than real reasons.
The lack of transparency and repeated mismanagement indicates a pattern o[censored]nreliability, possibly affecting their parent company or sibling operations as well.
Investigating their invoices raised more red flags:
Bills showed different addresses than their GST-registered address.
Multiple staff issued me different GST invoice for the same order, with varying amounts indicating possible manipulation.
Some invoices were not in GST format, which raises questions about legality and transparency.
Based on my experience, I can confidently say that Don Windows (donwindows.com) is unreliable and untrustworthy. If you are planning to order from them or related companies like Doortech India:
Do not pay the full amount upfront.
Verify GST and official documentation carefully.
Ask for delivery first, then pay the balance.
Plan for delays, as even repeated promises may not be kept.
One important note: their main marketing is through social media, so please share this experience with your friends and contacts. As their track record suggests they are not trustworthy. Help others avoid losing time, money, and trust.
This experience has cost me both time and money, and I hope my story serves as a cautionary tale.
Be careful and do thorough research before placing any order with them.

I wrote a short note about this incident on their public social media pages, but they deleted my comment and blocked me. They seem to remove almost all genuine comments and reviews. I have screenshots of everything. If they continue to delay my refund, I will post all the proof on social media.
