Dear Sir, I came to know about Abhijeet Paul, from some post on www.linkedIn.com website that he is a BPO consultant. I contacted him for his services and he told me to come to kolkatta for face to face discussions and to show me reference centers. After I booked my tickets on 7th July, 2014, he called me on 8th July afternoon and told me to deposit 25000 in his Axis Bank account no – [protected] before 3.00 pm as he has to bid for Vodafone tender. He told me that by 3.30 pm he will get the allocation of tender as he has some resources and he will send all details before 4 pm. I transferred the money at 2.50 pm vide axis bank transaction number ATM-TRFR-TO/[protected]/080714/14:52. Later on he did not send any valid documents despite my repeated phones/ mails to him. Since my tickets were booked, I reached kolkatta on 14th July. He tried to put me in his Hotel Sheela, Gate no 2, Kolkatta airport, but I refused and stayed in adjacent hotel Swagatam. He had promised to show me as many reference centers as I want, but he could not show me a single working BPO seat/ person. He even tried to extract more money in the name of company formation and DoT license but I did not give any more money to him. During my stay in kolkatta, I observed he was never alone and he kept few people around him. So they have a complete fraudulent gang. I asked him to return money but he kept giving excuses. Later on he committed to pay back the money by 30th July. I have been requesting him through emails and SMS but he is absconding and not responding. Recently I have found some more complaints about him in Online Consumer courts. Looks like he has been changing his email IDs, addresses and bank accounts in kolkatta and siliguri from 2012 and may be more. Its very serious that these people are roaming free despite cheating people regularly. Sir, I humbly request you to take strict action against such touts/ frauds and save bonafide citizens from such people. I am enclosing those complaints for your reference.
