I was cheated by a consultancy named “EcoCruit” located at Office No. 601, 6th Floor, Swapnalok Complex, S.D. Road, Secunderabad, Hyderabad.
They collected ?3000 from me in the name of registration/processing fees for job placement and issued a written receipt stating that the amount was non-refundable. During the recruitment process, they assured me that the opportunity was genuine and stated that there was a “90% assurance” of getting placed, which influenced me to trust them and make the payment.
After the payment, I was directed to a work-from-home/data-entry project in the name of another company. The offer letter and project conditions included unrealistic workload targets, strict 90% accuracy requirements, non-refundable registration clauses, and conditions stating that if the work was not completed or the required accuracy was not maintained, salary would not be paid and additional charges could be imposed.
The company also collected sensitive personal documents including Aadhaar card, bank details, educational certificates, passport-size photograph, and multiple contact numbers. The entire process appeared misleading and inconsistent with genuine employment practices.
They also showed a Government of Telangana Labour Department registration certificate during the interview to build trust and convince candidates that the consultancy was genuine. Based on this, many candidates, including me, believed the job opportunity was legitimate and proceeded with payment.
The promised job security and salary benefits were not genuinely provided, and the terms and conditions appear to be structured mainly to collect money from unemployed job seekers and later reject work on technical grounds such as accuracy or completion targets.
EcoCruit and the associated persons misrepresented themselves as a genuine consultancy, collected money from me through false promises of employment, and connected me to a questionable data-entry scheme while refusing refund of the amount paid. This has caused financial loss, emotional stress, and mental harassment.
I request the concerned authorities to kindly:
- register my complaint regarding cheating and suspected online job fraud,
- investigate the consultancy and associated data-entry company,
- verify their recruitment and payment practices,
- help recover my amount,
- and take appropriate action to prevent other innocent job seekers from being similarly misled.
I am prepared to provide supporting evidence including payment receipts, offer letters, chats, emails, screenshots, and related documents.
