MaRRS Spelling and other 'Bees' are true scams.
They approach schools in the guise of helping kids improve their word and math power. But this is only a ruse. This is a method to collect money. They have agents who approach schools, and ask kids to enrol. The initial fee is low, but the kids are promoted from level to level, and at each stage the fee increases considerably. The agents call parents to force them to pay the money and have the kids participate. They do not disclose how many kids made it to the next round, etc. at all, and very rude when questioned.
They also ask for money for oral and written rounds separately once you progress. Once you are enticed, you think that you will try one more level, and at the end of it, are swindled of a good sum of money.
Good schools should not encourage this, and the authorities should recognize and stop such scams aimed at students. Was this information helpful? |
