My name is Vielo Adjoua Angela Brou, a foreign national currently residing in Kharar, Punjab. I wish to file a complaint regarding a serious issue of financial fraud and cheating related to a flight I booked online.
On 11 June 2025, I booked a refundable EgyptAir flight (PNR: DXFN3J) from New Delhi to Abidjan, using the travel agency EaseMyTrip (Booking ID: EMT[protected]. I paid ₹47, 514 using my Indian account.
I cancelled the flight on 28 June 2025, more than 24 hours before departure. My e-ticket clearly stated cancellation charges of:
• ₹11, 983 (EgyptAir)
• ₹500 (EaseMyTrip fee)
Therefore, I was supposed to receive a refund of ₹35, 031. However, I received only ₹20, 657, and the agencies are claiming that EgyptAir charged ₹25, 358, without showing any proof or invoice for this deduction.
Despite many written follow-ups and complaints through email and WhatsApp, EgyptAir has not responded at all, and EaseMyTrip has not provided any valid documentation. I believe this is a case o[censored]njust financial deduction and cheating, especially targeted at a foreigner unfamiliar with Indian legal protections.
I request the to:
1. Record this complaint officially under cheating and IT-related financial fraud
2. Investigate the deduction and contact the companies for explanation
3. Help me recover the balance of the refund legally owed to me
I am attaching all relevant documents: flight ticket, refund mail, proof of payment, and communication history.
