In the 2000s, Dipika Patel and her husband Dharmesh Patel from Gujarat, India used to run an IT employment scam out of their tiny Jersey City, New Jersey apartment. They have now moved to Gilbert, Arizona, AZ and are running the same scam with a company called SAMAYU SOFT.

In early the 2000s, Dipika Patel and her husband Dharmesh Patel set up a company called GLOBLESOFT CORPORATION which they ran out of their tiny Jersey City, NJ apartment. They used this company to lure their victims—vulnerable and inexperienced people—in the guise of working for Fortune 500 companies and work-visa/permanent-residency in the U.S.

I was one of the victims of this scam, and I'm posting my story here because it might help other people avoid the trap I fell into that ruined my life. Dipika Patel picked up my resume from Dice and contacted me. After a (short) phone interview, she said that I'm selected and they will obtain a H1B on my behalf. A few days later, Dipika Patel contacted me again and asked me to pay $5, 000, and submit my educational certificates and passport. She said they money will be refunded to me and the documents are required for obtaining the visa.

Once I paid and submitted my documents, Dipika Patel and Dharmesh Patel asked me to sign a contract which states that I will not be compensated unless GLOBLESOFT CORPORATION is able to place me in another company. It also states that I cannot leave GLOBLESOFT CORPORATION unless I complete a certain number years working on-site (at a client's place); and if I leave before this time, I have to pay them tens-of-thousands of dollars. When I questioned this contract, they told me it is a standard contract.

I was trapped in GLOBLESOFT for many months. I was working over 12 hours a day without pay. GLOBLESOFT refused to pay me as I was working on-site. They did not even allow me to take sick leave. I finally mustered enough courage to leave, but they refused to return my documents and passport unless I paid them $15, 000.

When I went to the authorities, Dipika Patel and Dharmesh Patel claimed that I was at GLOBLESOFT CORPORATION for training, they owned me no money, no contract was signed, and no documents collected—I could do nothing. It took me more than three months to get fresh documents. Altogether, I wasted over a year and tens-of-thousands of dollars (not counting the pay they owned me). This was a living hell for me. Let this post serve as a warning for naïve students graduating from college and as a serious word of caution to employers.

Dipika Patel and Dharmesh Patel are criminals—They want slaves/houseboys like they did in their own country. Dipika Patel came to US illegally and she can be deported. Dipika Patel has been cheating the IRS for decades—this is a felony. Dipika Patel and Dharmesh Patel have now started their scam all over again in Gilbert, Arizona, AZ using a company called SAMAYU SOFT. Dipika Patel goes around peddling fake education/experience documents. Be careful in hiring, or doing business with, Dipika Patel and Dharmesh Patel, and if you have been conned, report them to the authorities and press charges.
