I was mislead by a company called empty cup (https://emptycup.in/) a so called interior design company that is incapable of delivering what they promise before collecting payments with a simple reasoning "software limitations and developer issues" while their website and web marketing is full of hype. Right from the designers to the co-founders of company are being self-important when things are demanded as agreed. This looks a scam and money laundering business that these guys are into.
Company sends out messages through whats app (Don't know where the phone directory is being stolen from) with beguiling rate card, collects full amount in advance before even taking down the requirements or explaining what they can and can't offer to the clients and then the harrowing journey starts with a girl identifying herself a senior designer calls to know the requirements and plainly answers "all this is not possible and we can't do it as we have software limitations and developer issues which we are trying to resolve in a 2 to 3 months time". Later, the requirements goes all over the office and the juniors who can't even speak properly starts to co-ordinate and take details, each one calls and expresses personal reason for delays, a new story is given and history has to be repeated to all. (Documented).
My ordeal:
Received whats app message on 15th nov with an offer that read "hi, i am ajit, we do full house 3d design @ 7999/-. Thought i'll share our latest images with improved quality and lighting".
Right back person calls and identifies himself as shambu, one of the co-founders of company and ajit as his co-fellow. Gives a hyped introduction about company that it does residential projects, has multiple softwares built/mapped on single platform which generates realistic 3d images, free walk through and so on as published on their website with 4 days guaranteed delivery.
For sample work, demands rs. 3999/- for just 2 walls and said rest rs.5000 can pay later and get the entire flat completed and that's the package with one revision. Therefore, paid rs. 3999 same day to try their services.
Received 2 shoddy 3d images after 2 days of chase that was without lighting and design not as per ref images shared. On questioning i was told software outage and it can be re rendered along with the other full order i give.
Again paid rs. 5000 on 29th nov viz online transfer to get the full flat completed and also shared reference images, actual site images, hand sketched drawings and layouts that was required with a 30 minutes of briefing call.
The girl who took the requirement goes on leave and assigns job to someone who is an intern. Through chase and lot of followup i receive 3d renders that were to the shock. Full of commercial lighting in residential project, all glossy walls, self designs, hand was counter top basin as kitchen sink and lot more goo[censored]ps. On questioning there was cutting sorry statements on emails and revised drawings followed which again was not in par with the needs. This time got in touch with the other co-founders n seniors ajit, viswanath, shambu, prasanth, and ambarish who promised to clear the mess and deliver me whats is required which never happened.
Later, vishwanath who identified himself as operations head calls to say your quota of revision is complete and to put things in place additional revision chages are applicable without which they cannot proceed further. Since i had a final meeting with the client on 15th evening, contacted ambarish on 13th morning and requested the work to complete in 2 days, he turned out to be the most arrogant individual who said do whatever you want we cannot do it.
When sent message again to either complete the task or refund the amount all the owners have stopped taking calls and none responding even after forwarding them the messages and stinkers being sent to me by my client.
Its over a month now chasing these guys and finally i have almost lost my business with a negative remarks on my company. Even if the order has to be executed there is going to be additional compensation or fast track fee amount payable which i want these people to bare for their inability and behavior.
