I went to fill Petrol in my Tata Nano car around 7.15 am today 01/12/2021 at the Essar Petrol pump at Sangeetha Corner Mysore and to my astonishment I found the service boy is filling petrol nearing 27 lit. I asked him how is it possible to fill this much in a 24lit capacity petrol tank. He said something in kannada, which i couldn't understand, but he changed the pipe and started filling again. This time he filled up for around 9 litres. Finally i was asked to pay for around 36 litres. I showed him the car manual which has only 24 lit capacity. I went to the manager and told him the same thing. He came out with the 5lit can to check the quantity of petrol. As he tried to fill the can only air came out. Now he was scolding the service boy in kannada and he wanted to find out over phone how much is the capacity of my car tank and later he asked me to pay money for 24 lit and pay later any balance amount if he finds out any diffenence in the capacity of my car tank . I told him that my car was not empty as i have come all the way driving it and paid him only for 20 litre. I also gave him my mobile number to call me after his findings.
This is a day time robbery and i would have been forced to pay the amount if i had not asked him to full the tank. Was this information helpful? |
