Eurokids India Pvt Ltd — Delay in Refund of Franchise fee

In October 2019 I decided to go for a franchisee with Eurokids as I heard lot about it from media and few parents. I voluntarily submitted my interest in the Eurokids website and received a call after few days from Bangalore branch. All formalities was done and I paid them the 3 years franchisee fee before signing the Agreement as the representative told to pay first and later the agreement copy will be sent home for signature. Meanwhile I was done with the Bore well drilling and engineer plan was ready for the infrastructure building. The school was intended to open in April 2020, all of sudden COVID 19 hit the world and I was also not spared by the impact. In March 2020 I requested Eurokids regional Manager to cancel the proposal and refund the amount but he offered me to extend the time by replying with email saying, the 3 year contract will start from the date of signing the agreement. So I agreed to it and proceeded with the building planning work. In May 2020 I lost my job due to COVID19 and my father was hospitalised due to chronic illness. This was the end I was in lot of financial crises, so decided to cancel the franchisee application and use it for my needs. I requested EuroKids to refund the amount paid for which they agreed initially but after few days the representative replied saying that the GST charged on the Franchisee fee will not be refunded as they have to pay for government. I agreed to it and requested to process the refund. For few weeks the representative told the subject is discussed in the top level, then the CEO changed was the reason and later one point I was told that soon I would get the money but now things have changed they don’t even pick my call nor reply to my email. Till today my financial condition is bad and I am in need of money urgently. It is my sincere request to Eurokids to refund the amount and help me and my family to get through this pandemic.
