Sub: WRONG METER READING OR WRONG METER SUPPLY TO ME
Today after receipt of SMS I have gone to your website and checked my electricity bill for the month of April 2016 the bill amount is raised in my name is Rs.3412/-. In my life I have never get this amount of bill from CESC. The total unit consumed by me is shown is 512 units. During the period from March to May 2016 there are no additional units consumed by me. So, I am very surprised to see that in my account 512 units are shown as consumed. My February 2016 bill shows the present unit is 8280 and when your man taken out the old meter then it is informed that the unit shows as 8304 units. And your present bill shows it is 8704 units so it simply added 400 units in my account which is not consumed by me.
Further I liked to inform you that a new meter is installed replacing the old meter during 2nd week of April 2016 and the reading of the old meter was shown as 8304 units it is confirmed by your personnel at the time of installation of new meter. How it billed to me now as 8704 unit as last consumption of the old meter. At the time o[censored]nfixing the meter we asked your personnel to give us in writing of last units consumed by us but that have not given us anything in writing only verbally confirmed and also shown us the last unit consumed by us is 8304 units.

From the table you may understand that my consumption was not exceeds more than 100 units in any month except April 2016. This is done due to mistake of your man who has record the unit of last consumption of the previous meter as 8704 units instead of 8304 units and accordingly the bill is raised.
Madam, I am requesting you to please check my account immediately and arrange for necessary correction at the earliest. I have never received such an exorbitant bill from CESC. Further I hope that you will understand the situation and take immediate action for the same. For ready reference I am attaching herewith a copy of April 2016 bill raised in my name for your ready reference. Was this information helpful? |
