My father had a heart attack on 27th Feb 2022. We rushed him to Fortis Malar Hospital in an ICU ambulance. Upon arrival they refused him to take him to the ICU until we paid cash upfront. My father is an ex-Reserve Bank of India employee with full cashless insurance managed by MDIndia. Despite that Fortis Malar refused him to admit him into ICU care unless cash was paid. The Manager on Duty Mr.Satish behaves more like a credit collector. He refused to recognize insurance and left it to us to claim the insurance ourselves after he insisted that we pay cash to discharge the patient.
